  1. Here's the situation:

    * 6 handed
    * hero is on the button ($1128)
    * villian is in the sb ($810), laggy but very low squeeze percentage
    * tight player is utg ($777), 10% PFR, less from early position

    Tight player raises to $14 utg, I flat from button w/AKd, and villain squeezes
    to $68 (assuming a range of qq+, ak but not entirely certain). UTG calls and I call. Flop comes: qs 9d 3d ; villain pots it for $208. UTG folded, I called. Turn comes Js.
    Villain goes allin for $536 into a pot of $670. I fold after tanking.

    Interested to hear people's thoughts on how they would play this on each street:

    * 3 bet pre
    * 4 bet over the squeeze pre
    * jam the flop
    * call the turn

    Appreciate any thoughts.
  2. i like 4 bet the squeeze and jam flop.
  3. Honestly I like just smooth calling the squeeze. If he 5 bets then what? Don't turn AKs into a bluff in position. While this flops looks big for your hand it is very decieving. Unless he is a super spewtard I can't see him potting into a tight player without at least kings here, more likely he has QQ or AA, with an outside shot of overplaying AQ. He prices you out of just calling the flop and I doubt he folds to a shove, in which at best your a 2 to 1 dog. Fold flop.
  4. Agreed for the most part, mainly due to the stack sizes. My thinking at the time was that he was stacking off regardless of the turn. Because of this my implied odds would be huge, as I would be calling $200 to win a pot of $1800 or so (would need 11% equity to justify the call). Given that assumption I thought it was a reasonable call considering I hit my flush on the turn about 16% of the time. If by chance he has kk he slows down on any ace turn, and will likely pay off some sort of river value bet due to my loose image and the fact he can never really put me on ak in that spot.

    Still not sure, but definitely an interesting spot.
