  1. Villain was just moved to my table, no reads on him, but over about 10 hands he had been open limping a few times, folding to raises preflop.

The pot has around ~1175 in it right now, and he overbets 1500. My immediate thought was that he might be thinking if he has AQ/AJ, then he's a chop against any ace except AK. Also, this could just be an outright bluff. It could also be any 7, 33, or 77. If I raise/jam, I'm getting more value out of any other A, and spewing HUGE to any 7 or 33. If I call, I'm losing less against the 7 or 33 hands, but losing value against any A. Whats your play here and why?

This hand occured a little bit later on at the table, and my thoughts preflop were that if I can hit a hand cheaply, there will be huge implied odds, as villain had been playing pretty TAG/abc poker. What's your play on the river? I felt that he had AA here about 90% of the time. Do you guys call or fold this?

    Thanks.
  2. No advice at all? Really?
    Thread Starter
  3. 1st hand: ez call
2nd hand ez call, no way in hell he has AA more than 20% of the time

  4. call

    call

#1 some players might say raise but Im a nit
  5. I think he has 76 suited or something funny like that in the 1st one i don't think i call . . second hand is tough but there i think i call more often than not
  6. The first hand while i do think your hand is good, I think I am only calling, because if I raise I may get a call from a guy with AJ or so thinking he is chopping, and if he has 87 or so then I prob am gonna get repopped. This being early in the tourney I also like the call due to you getting to see what he check called the hand whole hand with and then leads out. At this point you dont even know if he is capable of making a check call floating the entire way only to fire out at the river.

I am suspecting that his play in hand 2 has lot of do with what you decided to do on the first hand.
  7. 1.) call
    2.) ez call
