  1. Never posted a hand on here before, but figured I'd see if you guys could help me out...

In the first event of the Borgata Winter Open $350 + 50...

Deep stack tourny 25K in chips, ive lost a few monster pots AA to JJ and Top 2 VS Bottom Set. So at the 5th Level Blinds at 100-200 with a 25 ante and I have 17,200 in front of me.

Im in the BB with AdQh. Button Raises to 800, been doing it frequently, i reraise to 2400. He thinks for a moment and calls. He has about 18k in front of him and has been playing loose in late position.

Flop is Kd Jd 10d... I check to him trying to induce a bluff here.

    Button Bets 5k.

I pushed putting him on maybe a dry king or even 2 pair just trying to take it down right there... He thinks for a few minutes and calls off most of his stack with 2d5d, flopped the low flush... His hand held and i was done... What do ya think?

2nd Hand was later that evening in the 150+30 Second Chance.

Down to the final three tables 30 people, 27 are going to cash.

    Blinds are at 2k & 4k with a 500 ante average stack is about 80k-90k and I have 49k.

Guy in mid-position who shouldnt have been in the tourny numerous times by now and plays a very easy to read style of play... Min Raises preflop with strong hands like AA-JJ & AK AQ and makes large raises With AJ or Lower and Pairs of 1010 and lower... trying to take it down right there.

So the guy raises to 15k leaving him 24.7k behind and It folds around to me in the SB and I look at AdKd...I had already put him on the range i previously stated before seeing my cards. So I either have him dominated or I'm in a race. Now I know I'm only three out of the money, but I'm interested in the final table not min-cashing and I have played with this guy the entire tourny so far (7 hours) and I feel real confident with my read. So I push knowing he's committed to calling with anything pretty much... And he calls with 99 and it holds up.

So my question is do you think pushing was the right play? Or should have I played ultra-conservative there just mucked and waiting to cash then trying to make some plays. Or played it weak and a little less conservative and just called 13k of my stack to see that flop. Obviously I didnt like that option but an option nevertheless.

Sorry for the long ass post. lol.
  2. You should probably just move this post over to bad beats and save everyone else the time it took to read it.

  3. sorry man... was just lookin for advice if i played something retarded or whatever... wasnt trying to call it a bad beat posting.

  4. stinks but looks like theres nothing you could have done in either case

  5. One of the responses is a joke. This is for advice, not for being anal. The ist hand is played as well as possible and the opponent calling the re-raise with overcards is a joke-just unlucky there. The 2nd hand is a typical race situation and you didn't get it that time. As played you have no choice but to go for it there.
  6. 350 + 50 and even worse 150 + 30 are theese kinda fees common in live MTTs ?
    is 150 + 30 even beatable??

ive never played i live tourny btw(limit player)
