  1. Background: $109 9am PS tourney...approx 190 entrants, pays 27...mostly sm buyin players.

The money bubble has just burst which took FOREVER. The previous hand to this one: val d'autan called a sm stack shove (Nappi86) w/ AA and lost to a wheel. The very next hand val d'autan open raises to 3x bb.

val d'autan has only shown premium hands...playing weak, tight the entire tournament. Stats on this player are little to no money earned in MTT's.

JTMack11 has been playing TAG whole tournament and only twice shoved on money bubble to steal chips to stay alive (no one called)....money bubble lasted long time. Stats on this player are about $10k since 4/09...doesn't play very much but has cashed well in $55 and $100 buyin events.

Samadhi16 also playing TAG and shoved twice on $ bubble, getting called once and doubling up. He and JTMack11 had been very short stacked through entire bubble period. Stats on this player are that he has cashed for about $70k last 6 months...and doing well in $55 and $100 buyin events.

Certainly possible that JTMack11 and Samadhi16 thought val d'autan was tilting after losing w/ AA and quite possibly was opening light...however, he had only been showing premium hands the entire tournament (does this factor and if so how much at this point in the tournament?).

In analyzing this hand, AND REGARDLESS OF THE RESULTS, I would like you to look at it from 2 different perspectives:

    1. Can and should JTMack11 fold JJ and wait for a better spot?

    2. What do you make of Samadhi16's shove of AQ to a raise and a reraise, with the original raiser left to act who has him covered?

    Thanks kindly!

  2. 1.) JTMack11 should never fold JJ there.

2.) I think the AQ shove is borderline but if val d'autan has been playing weak tight I guess he could fold? Samadhi16 is pretty short stacked but given the reads I think he should be folding here. I think he's even money at best against his opponents' ranges.
