  2. I understand you're stuck here, but the 'call' is obv from behind. You need a 'hand' to 'call' an all-in. Did you read him on a bluff or something?

It's one thing if you shove/bluff, but to call it takes more than A high (for your tourney life). 4 outers don't usually hit.

You could have checked the turn/fold-river and waited for a better push/fold spot.

No offense but you need to read hand histories better: He's got 9 outs to the nuts 3 outs to hit his wheel draw and possibly 3 more if his ace is clean. That said, op you have a ton of chips, it's way early and you're getting a great price to get there on river after he makes that tiny lead out. Just flat the turn and give up if you don't get there. No reason at all to stack off here.

Yah, my point. I was talking about his focus. It wasn't a nice spot, and his A wasn't ahead. By 4-outer, I meant the wheel draw, which looked obvious.
  5. I agree that you shouldn't call when behind...but as played you pretty much are pot committed. As is, you had 15 outs, so somewhere around 30% to win the hand.

In your spot, I would call their turn bet instead of raising it. Take your cheap river card and see if you catch the straight, flush, or ace. The raise isn't big enough to push them off their hand, but totally committed you...you might as well shove the turn.
  6. cjmace24, odstore, & aarin - thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it.
Looking back now, i definatly should have just called the turn and gave up on river instead of the raise on turn. I figured he had the weak Q but really thought he would fold it to the raise

  7.  same as above- c-bet on flop is standard- and he could be check peeling with less than the Q- obv not folding his turn lead but no reason to do anything other than call ur opening urself up to abuse- float turn for d or A on riv glglgll
