2010 WSOP Schedule Question/Idea..

    I found myself last year searching around everywhere trying to find out when the 2009 schedule would be released and checking back at the wsop site as im sure many others did as i wanted to figure out what i was playing , when i was going and book accomodation etc.

    Anyways im wondering all the same stuff again so ...

    #1: Does anyone have any idea when the 2010 schedule will be released , i doubt anyone will have any concrete info and its a case of checking back at the wsop site for months like last year.

    #2: Would it not be better to have a date set or even a week set when the wsop schedule would be announced?

    For example the last week of november each year , then everyone knows where they stand/when they can make plans etc ?

    It's not so bad for me as i play full time but this must be a serious headache for people trying to get time off work etc.

    Im sure this would build some more anticipation each year too and even the sites running qualys etc would know exactly when it would be released in relation to running qualys or promos.

    I know there will be way more to the scheduling process than i probably appreciate but even if they endeavored to release it on a set week each year but if things got in the way they reserved the right to release it later or whatever...

    sorry for the ramble just not looking forward to refreshing the wsop site for a couple of months to find out when i can make plans for next year.

    ya i agree

    I'm trying to plan a trip there for my first WSOP and a few family members are coming who keep asking me when we are going to start planning, but I keep telling them that I have to wait for the schedule. Pretty frustrating indeed. Especially, like you said, for us working people.

    I heard they are releasing it earlier than last year and before the end of the year so I figure it will be anytime soon.

    I heard they were releasing it earlier too but i heard October and obviously this was wrong.

    Kinda my point , seems like so much guesswork involved.

    As i said earlier i do realise this must be a monumental job Scheduling everything but surely they could have a guideline for each year.

    Yeah me too , especially after basically pissing it up for 3 months last year instead of knuckling down and focusing on the poker :)
