  1. I have played a ton of these SNG's, too many to count and have yet to win or make the money. Probably one of the most frustrating and heartbreaking tournaments I play on a regular basis and I've yet to really understand what to do.

I generally waver from a TAG and LAG game and usually do a good job collecting chips early, picking my spots to pick up dead money if I get a short stack. Yet I've probably busted about 100 times in the 30th-40th spot. I see a lot of successful players crush these tournaments and wonder what gear I'm missing in the middle of the tournament?
  2. I dont know if you exaggerating but if you played 100 of these and dont have one cash I think you should not play these. You should drop down to 4.40's and play those. I played the 14 of these that Ive played just like the 4.40's. Simple. And ive made 2 FT's. So you should have no trouble cashing in these once in awhile..
  3. I have a few cashes and I believe 2 FT's, but lately I've had some issues during the 3rd hour of play and trying to figure out how to play

  4. i have had some nice success at these tournaments- i have placed everywhere on the board with about 20 or so final tables 2 wins, a couple seconds and every place on down- my advice would be that you have to willing to die in this tournament- with about 30-40 left you HAVE to accumulate- i dont know about you but 18th place is no good- so when the bubble is in sight you have to take some preflop chances to steal some blinds- if you get to the 10k range before this point you can afford to try to steal more because in reality 5k at this point will squeek you into the money most times-

if you get repopped on your steals, simply fold and wait for better spots- when the bubble bursts, the <4k stacks will be all in shortly and you will soon be creeping onto the final table- if you feel more passive or are card dead be patient- the first time i ever won one of these i was 18/18 when the bubble burst- i have also had 75k going into the final table only to get 4th- i agree, it can be a very frustrating tournament but it has a nice pot of gold at the end for us mid limit players- hope this helps and oh yeah- poker stars now runs 10/180's now all day long- if you are getting frustrated the $10/180s are a nice way to get a good feel for things plus the prize is still over $500 (placed 2nd in one of these just last nite) good luck
