I checked the flop for pot control. Don't know if I like that or not but I didn't want to build a big pot in case someone hit a set. I think that jqklaaxx either hit a set and was slowplaying or turned and rivered trip 9's. Not sure though. What's your read?
  2. My line would be more like: Bet flop (more than $3 dollars also, your turn bet was awful and weak.), check behind on the turn if they both called for pot control (assuming the action goes somewhat the same.). As played your hand looks so incredibly weak that I think you have to call.

  3. there are 3 people seeing the flop..bet it.

as played, yes it's a fold.
  4. You should be c-betting this flop for value 100% of the time imo. If one of them flopped a set then you're going to lose some money, that's just the way it is. You're in position and you effectively flopped nuts so get paid.
  5. Yes, I think if I could redo this hand I would of bet about $4 or so on the flop and then perhaps checked the turn instead for pot control. I really didn't put anyone else on an ace to pay me off. I put the limp/caller on a pp and the SB on perhaps broadway cards. I just don't like building a big pot with one pair unless I have a real specific read that an opponent has a pair with a weaker kicker than mine.

  6. You put them on those specific hands based on what? Weaker aces are certainly in their ranges as well as medium pocket pairs that will want to peel one on such a dry flop.
  7. the 9 changes basically nothing unless he has A9 or 99, then you will find out on the turn. bet flop, turn, river 100% unless c/r then you know you are beat. you don't need to build a large pot with one pair. you don't even need to bet more than 1/2 pot on turn and river due to it being dryer than the desert. you want to get paid from A10+ hands.
