  1. I had been 3betting often in position. Villian had played very few hands (none w/ me). The hand before he had almost doubled w KK.

    Do you play this differently?

  2. You can NEVER check behind on that flop, IMO.

Pre-flop play is fine, everything else is terrible. I HATE spewing off chips like this on the turn and river.

  3. Wow... Is my play here really that bad? I wouldn't ask if I didn't want feedback. I want to fix leaks and improve, but I didn't think it was THAT bad.

I can handle critisism from better players but If I'm going to improve I need to know why it's bad.

  4. You need to bet the flop for ~ 1K to continue representing a strong, made hand. If he check raises all in, especially if he's a solid player, then you're beat by an overpair to the board or most likely to a set and I'd lean towards folding on the flop. However, if he checks the flop quickly, a healthy c-bet should take this down.
  5. What's awful, button, is that you had an opportunity to continue to show extreme strength on a dry flop, and passed on it. Then you called off 40% of your chips on the turn & river with Ace high.

Why are you calling on the turn and river? What are you putting him on?

If you think he's bluffing the turn, raise him. If not, fold. You're calling because you don't know what else to do.

  6. I either flat or fold pre. 3 betting is pretty bad , as played bet flop
  7. never check behind definitely; u need to c bet againt 1 opponent a lot and i mean a lot; especially when u showed so much strength preflop; u need to c bet a lot since about 60% of flops miss both opponents; coming back to preflop play, i would have flat called and i think it would have been more.. conservative to flat call
  8. Thanks for the responses. I appreciate the suggestions, I will deffinately make some adjustments in this type of situation.
