Basically the quick summary was that I got it in on the flop with the nut flush draw and 2 over cards. I know in a tournament this would be the correct play, but I was wondering if I played this too aggressively for a cash game with 100 bb stacks.

I did decide to just call the 3 bet pre flop. My thinking was that I had position on the villain and I could out play him post flop. If I had been out of position I believe I would have 4 bet and called a shove.

whats his dynamic like. just because hes a loose player doesnt mean hes 3betting a ton or at all even. How long had you been at the table together and how many times had ue 3bet others and yourself? Also you say you thought you could outplay him ppst. Im assuming you have at least some reads on him then? What are they?

I only had 7 hands on him, so no reads at all. When I said I could out play him I was mostly referring to having position on him. At the time i remember flat calling because I did not want to bloat the pot pre flop without a made hand, but after thinking about it for a while I think it may have been better to 4bet and try to leverage fold equity.
