If this was someone i had played with before and they had played with me, i think i can find the fold button...but from a random with no consistency in results / scores, I just couldn't find the fold button regardless of the strength his line was screaming..I really just thought at the time that he would have just called my repop on the flop with the diamond draw..and even among the diamond draws, the only reraise that made some sense was akd or kqd. but still, i decided i would ride this one out and embrace the cooler if thats what it was. To double up in the main event, i just couldn't pass it up.
jdpc27 raises to 7,410, and is all in

gg me. Thanks for the responses....this was a tough one for me and i just wanted to make sure that a whole bunch of people didn't reply saying "he has 88 fold". thanks. -
wow that is sick....I wonder what you did.
-
Raise, he's on a flush draw or has 2 pair.
-
This is a shove. This is 9 times out of 10 a draw or two pair. If he wakes up with pocket 8s, cry, pray for the 1 outer, and move on. If you fold this you're not playing for the win.
-
never a draw. 88 gg.
-
shove...puke when he has 88...
-
The goal is to get all the chips if ur folding this hand you need to quit poker if he has 88 oh well but my money is AK or something you absoultely snap call here.
-
Ehh u'd be surprised. 88 is def a possibility but I just can't justfiy a fold here really maybe I'm a donk
-
snap fold imo
-
We can agree to disagree :) the more I think about it ur prob rite but ehh watevs. results? My guess is the post means shove snap called by 88
-
shove
-
Get it in, there's a good chance he is 3betting KK pre, so we can discount that a bit, and 88 is the only other had that beats you so get it in and be happy about it imo
-
LOL. Why did you not timebank and Sharkscope/OPR??

Snap get that shit in.
FDs, 86, TPGK, etc, etc.
edit. his last 10 tournies on FTP have been freerolls. -
I'm a relative beginner, but trying to learn more. I'd shove, hoping that he has AA or AK. My thought process would be that the following hands that are possibe -
AA, AK, KK, - not likely, would've raised preflop
XX Flush draw - This fits
88 - this fits
Straight draw - not likely
Bluff - not likely
So I think he's either got the flush draw, probably with the Kd; or 88. -
thanks for the responses to so far...
in my analysis, i do not have op on AA or KK. those hands simply have to reraised given the stack sizes.
AK is possible as it should not be an auto reraise this early with these stack sizes, even tho many would play it that way. A bunch of combo's with diamonds are possible and a straight draw is possible, but pretty unlikely. i believe opponent to have either 88, 79 (maybe of another suit), and a possible overplaying of AK, KQ with one diamond, and ak, kq, 910 with two diamonds.
the reason why the spot is so sick is cuz his line exactly as played screams strength. I'm hoping a few more will chime in..

wiht no knowledge i'm goign stricktly on the little info i can get off thedb or sharkscope. i'm folding to most players tha ti know and who i think know me. against this guy, i'm shoving.
-
wow that is super sick. i dont think hes flatting kk in such early pos this early. i would not fold its more then likely someone ridiculously overplaying kq. kqdd is a very probable hand. im not folding here and it sux balls if you ran into 888
-
His name is a tell. I put him on 22+, 23s+, 23o+
-
I got stacked off with AA vs AT. If he is playing AK like this he is the second worst player ever. I can not see myself folding a set in an event packed with sattie donks.
EDIT: My hand: Villain raises, I RR, he RR, I RR, he flats for half his stack, flop 7-8-9 rainbow, villain c/raises allin, 7 turn 6 riv -
With typical players, I'm probably pushing this here- you could easily be facing AK, and I see a lot of them get broke in deep money to TPTK. If, instead, you're looking at 88, tomorrow is another day.
-
im sure a lot of donks and fish play AK this way, i would never fold vs a random here
