**EDIT**
Ok so heres what I did and why. I folded. My reasoning was chipstack and table dynamics related. First of all, we are the two cl's by a mile. I didn't want to tangle too heavily with the only guy that could bust me when 5 of the people had M<10 and therefore could be easily abused. I could obtain alot of free chips there with very little risk plus the table was playing really tight with only maybe one other semi active player besides me and I was raising 2-3 times per orbit. Also did I want to get into a 115 BB pot with TPTK?
I had a hard time ranging him at all because I hadn't been on the table with him until this point. So what does he limp/call with preflop that he can reraise me with on this flop? A small pair (33,99 maybe?) suited connectors (JTd in that range) any Axd. Only hands I can see him having here that I have beat are KQ/QJ but I leaned away from KQ here because he probably would have raised preflop. So basically I could only come up with one hand I am beating. The rest of his range has me either a)flipping (oesd, flush draw), or dominated (set). So back to my question...do you flip for a 115 BB pot against the only guy that can bust you with tptk and a relatively weak/tight table?
I erred on the side of caution because I felt I had a distinct advantage on the rest of the table and could find alot better places to get my chips in. -
i raise to 4k pre and as played i bet 5000ish on the flop (just my preference) but as played u have 2 shove here - especially in a $4 180 man. If he has a set of 3's or flopped some retarted 2 pr so be it, but you are ahead here a VAST majority of the time. Lemme guess, he had a set of 3's or Q9 and ur kicking urself (cuz u shouldnt be) If u shoved u made the right play (unless hes a COMPLETE NIT) which he prob isnt.

I'll let it go over night and then post the results.

You should have made a much larger raise preflop. There is 2500 in blinds in the pot.
After merril calls, there's 3500 in the pot. You raise 2300 more, merril only has to call
2300 to win 5700 in the pot. He's getting over 2:1 immediate odds and since he has position on you, he's getting outstanding implied odds. You have to cut down on both of those odds by raising more preflop. I'd make it at least 5k to play. Winning the pot preflop at this stage is great.
Once you see the flop however, you can never fold. He would easily be playing any Q with a worse kicker like that, any TJ, any diamond draw, and possibly some worse hands. The only hands that beat you are Q9 and a set, and there are much more combinations of hands you beat. -
I concur with the analysis ...
Of course, a set of threes or Q9 for two Pair springs immediatly to mind, but he could be on a semi-bluff with a diamond draw ... plus even in the worst case, you have a couple of outs, namely the three Aces, two remaining queens (only if he is on a draw or has a set of nines or threes) + the possibility of a backdoor-nutflush :-)
Add to that the possibility of a stone cold bluff (arround 8 % to 10 % maybe) and the chance to get his whole stack, I would shove ...
