  1. What's the ROI for these sit and goes? It seems like most of the time I win the 1st match and half the time take it down.

Regular sit and go invest 5.25 to make 10 dlls with a 60% ROI on the long run if you are good (according to some post from this site).

4 players sit and go 5.25 to make 20 dlls.

My question is, what is more profitable in the long run, playing regular HU or 4 player HU sit and go.

If I play a 100 matches with a BR of 525 dlls. I need to win 27 to break even (.25 c rake times a hundred = 25 dollars, 27 wins = 530 Dlls) and any other wins will result on a 15 dll profit. Win 32 matches and make 75dlls. profit on a 525 investment. That's losing over 68 matches and still staying ahead.

Any insights or if anybody could work out the math would be greatly apprecciated.
  2. A 60% ROI in 2 player hu SNGs is 100% impossible. Assuming you are playing with a 5% rake (ie. $5 +$.25) you would have to win 84% of your matches. Anyways, Ill take your long run winning percentage down to a more realistic 65% (I dont know about the $5 level but this is pretty tough at higher levels) to do this analysis.

Winning 65% of your 2 player matches results in an ROI of 23.81%. If you are playing 4 player hu SNGs then you would win your 1st match 65% of the time. Of that 65%, you would win your tourny 65% of the time. This results in you winning your tourny 42.25% of the time. This results in an ROI of 60.95%.

Furthermore, your expectation per 2 player tourny (at the $5.25 level) is $1.25. Your per tourny expectation playing 4 player heads up SNGs is $3.20. However, since you will play more than 1 match your expectation per match is $1.94.

So yes, 4 player hu SNGs are more profitable than 2 player hu SNGs.
  3. Thanks for your comments and by the way, I meant 60% win rate in the long run for 2 player sit and go sorry. I'll continue to play this level and move up to 10 once I'm dominating the 5 tables. The 2nd match is really challenging since you are against better players, but it looks like it's profitable in the long run.
