  1. I used to grind 45mans very successfully on Full Tilt. Not sure why I stopped, but I'm going to try and give them a shot again as they appear to be just as juicy as they used to be.

Here are some spots that I'm trying NOT to be results oriented on, but would like some feedback from other successful 45-man grinders as to how bad/good i played the situation and how you would have played it yourself.

    Thanks!

    First Hand:
Ok, so Pianorock had been CRAZY agro 3-bet-shoving w/ K-2s, but had recently settled down after doubling someone's KK up w/ K-2. Opening hands like this, late in 45-mans ( i believe there were 13 left ) is standard, yes or no? I planned on check-folding if i missed the flop and playing it pretty straight-forward if i hit the flop nicely. Did I play this wrong or did I get semi-coolered?

    Second Hand:

Ok, so here, I have no information on anyone as its very early in the 45-man. Only thing I had done so far was fold the BB and SB. I know, I know, results oriented.. but here is my thinking... I shoved because I was 95% positive that ioo5oo would call w/ whatever shitty hand he decided to min-3-bet me with, however would it have been better to go to something like 640, and maybe get zorro to come along (who had recently doubled up w/ 9-5s) and then maybe Zorro hits that Jack, or maybe he's on mid pp... and then I shove the rest of my stack on ANY flop... then HOPEFULLY (lol) ioo5oo gets out of the way from his runner-runner straight and Zorro calls and doubles me up? Obv. hindsight is 20/20 but i'm just trying to decide whether there are more optimal plays here... If I am incredibly confident that at least one of these morons is going to come along, is my shove the absolute best play?

Third Hand: (my fav. spot of the three)
I thought this was a +EV call here. I'm on the BB, so if I fold and fold SB, i'm down to 700 chips and NO f/e (current players were not too bad and would understand that i'm shoving atc when its folded to me).... soooo, i thought that there's a good chance both of them have overs or even overs and a small-mid pp and that 9-10 would play decent against these hands in this spot... If i win, i'm 3k+ in chips... if i fold BB and fold SB, and shove button or cut-off, i either win blinds (up to 1k in chips) double up when getting called (up to 1.7k in chips) or go out in 10th like i did here... what do you think?

  2. 1st and 2nd seem fine,

    3rd hand I fold.
  3. i don't play 45 mans so i can't answer this thread
    2
  4. the first hand is the only one i have a problem with. im not sure on the structure on ft but im assuming you were down to 2 tables? i play the 6.5's regularly on stars and alot of times a10 will crush pf. very dangerous just smooth calling you there with a10 but it worked out for him :P. its one of those situations you have to believe he either has JQ or a better 10. i think anything better such as a mid pp+ or aj-ak should push there but the donks will continue to amaze with what they shouldve done and didnt do. tough laydown but i think i would have to let it go there.

oh yeah and the 2nd hand very nice pointing out he was angry. obv tell i wish stars would use lol.

tough luck but you have to give them money everyonce in a while so they can feed you down the road :) gl dude
