So I have to call 12k to win 33k-ish, so I'm gettin almost 3-1. Snap call?
  2. You may be getting 3-1 pot odds, but you need to have 2 live and the opponent can't have a pair in order to make this a justifiable call.

But seeing he only has 3 BB and his shoving range is insane at this point, I'd say this is a call.
  3. sick brag that your at a FT
  4. I'd call with your stack.
  5. ty for the responses! I called and he had A3, hit a 2 on river (woot!)

Supra hit exactly what I was hoping someone would say. I know I hear "if you're gettin >2:1, call ATC" all the time, but I am also aware of when to break that based on stack sizes. That's exactly why I called.

What if I had less chips? How low would my stack have to be in order for it to become a fold?

  6. Really I would think that given the blinds at 3K/6K and you having 88K (about 14x BB's) as the chip leader, not a single person at this table can exercise standard chip management.

Even your 12K call committed 15% of your stack.

I would normally think if you're committing more than 33% (or 1/3) of your stack to a shove, I'd say fold the 2-4.

In the case above, you would only lose 2 BB making the call and you still had about 11BB behind so it's a "safe" call.
  7. I call even if the dealer only gave me one card
