What are ur thoughts on this? It will probably only have the cream of the crop and should be exciting to watch. Maybe the new "Main Event" I remember in 2004 when Ficshman mentioned that Doyle thought the H.O.R.S.E tournament should be the ME.
Anyways check it out.

Great Idea. Maybe DN will stop bitching all the time about all the Hold'em events. It should be amazing poker
-
good isea, i already posted about it though arghh

Let's just hope ESPN decides to film and air it. With a 50K entry, I would think they would. However they have avoided the high/low games up until this point.
TJ -
Didnt they air the 2004 HORSE event?
-
This is an awesome idea! Surely it will be a TV event
-
Scott Fischman won the 2004 event, but it was not televised. To my knowledge the only disciplines that ESPN has filmed have been Holdem, Stud, Omaha Hi, Razz, and NL 2-7 Lowball. They have stayed away from Omaha 8/b and Stud 8/b.

I heard it's b/c there is so much to explain in hi/lo games on each hand to the viewer at home that Norman Chad doesn't have enough time to work in all of his divorcee jokes.
-
lmao @ mjf...so tired of hearing about his ex-wives
-
I would like to see it televised, but I doubt it will be since it is a much more complex format than your basic HE tourney. ESPN may well think it would only appeal to the hard-core players such as the members here and not the wider audience of casual fans.
The one thing in that might change ESPN's mind on this one is that you will probably have a very recognizable final table, although their favorite player...the Poker Brat is unlikely to be there. -
All games played with limit
I can see the stars satellites, 100 FPP into 1000 FPP into 10,000 FPP into $1000 super satellite into $5000 one table SNG with first prize being the seat and second prize a signed book by Lee Jones, then the guy who wins the first five qualifiers finishes second in the $5000 one table SNG and hangs himself by the mouse cord outside his window. -
ahahahahaha....funny Gowon
-
i heard that they were thinking about making the final table NLHE because of the allure it has for audiences...this would make sense because espn thinks all everyone wants is NL...anyone hear anything else about this? im pretty sure DN posted about this on FCP before the deal was made to add the event...
-
Putting this event on TV is a VERY BAD idea. Yes, $50,000 buy in sounds excititng, but think about the facts people... there are VERY few people who like HORSE, VERY few people who can afford 50,000 like it was nothing, and CLOSE TO NONE that understand watching it on TV. This will be a disaster.
GG Horse on TV -
u dont even know what consists of horse u donkey...this is a great idea because it will have only the best players in the world, and by the time they start filming the damm thing it will be all NL HE u dumb ass...first, check ur "facts", grow a brain, then go start posting on DONKEY'S.COM...bax was right, somoene should take away ur posting rights...the only disaster is that people will have to read ur post
-
This will be the Pros event..along with Deuce-to-Seven...(I think Michael Craig wrote that many pros hold this game in high regard.)
-
^ *LAUGH*
-
I would love watching an event like this.It would be a good chance to see who are the best players in the world, other than the ones who play in the big game.
-
Are you smoking something that Gank would even think was too strong?
What Daniel wrote was a suggestion and an idea how to put in a horse event, not a "this is going to happen" post... so why flame the hell out of Walrus for being clueless when you are in fact... clueless
