  1. Cash game players help me out. I'm a losing player at 50NL HU after 11,356 hands. Is that a big enough sample size to realize I shouldn't be playing that game? sadly i know what my problem is but i'm not correcting.

My leak is after going up 2-4 buyins on almost every opponent during session I give it ALL back at the end of the session totally turning into a station.

[ ] keep working at it
    [ ] Run away

    thanks.
  2. keep playing, if you already know your problem, why are you posting? fix your problem ... profit.
  3. Wasn't sure if the sample size was large enough to think i'm not going to improve.

  4. your problem isn't winning so why stop..if you see yourself giving a buyin back to villain just leave the table.
  5. 11k hands is a very small sample size. VERY small.
  6. define losing player

    oh. gl then
  9. 11k hands is nothing. Why dont you have a stop win setup where you bail after you go up two buyins.
  10. so what is a good sample size?

    if 12k hands is "nothing"

I mean if u played live with an average of 30 hands an hour, say 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.....thats 2.5 months. Not sure if I would keep trying if I was losing.

Then again if I was winning not sure if I would be convinced yet, so back to my question.
so what is a good sample size?
  11. i think u should quit...after i play u...
  12. Are you 1 tabling? Sounds like you found your leak, just fix it and get up when you're up a few buyins. Also don't fix what isn't broken and start calling more than you normally would in the early-mid stages of the match.

  14. lol for heads up like 70k hands would be a better telling. also i bet you pay off too many hands on the river when you should fold.
  15. Do you use a HUD? And to answer the question about a decent sample size I would say after 50k hands you can better see if your a winning or losing player longterm
  16. ftp kelliher20 and hit n run is standard

Yes and and the fact that I even GET to the river is telling. But like i said it's only when i'm UP already. I go from shark to fish once i'm up. it's very odd.

  18. ok so theres one big leak. you need to adjust your game once you get over a few buyins at the table. the short term fix is set yourself a limit and leave the table. if you get up like 2.5 buyins then leave and open up a different table. eventually you need to learn how to play with like 300bbs and not to spew off just cause it is a less % of your total stack.
  19. Maybe you didn't find your leak. You may be a lucky calling station early on. You need to figure out if your style of play changes, or if you just seem to get lucky early on. Make sure you have the right leak identified. If you do, discipline is what you will need.
