So do I value bet or check down.
I hate, HATE the turn card, since Ax is a very likely holding for the villian, but with my strong redraw (3x2,3x3,3x4,1x5 for win, 3xA,4x6 for draw), plus the chance I'm ahead I think I have to call the turn.
The river is close to a blank, if the villian had KK he cought up, but otherwise nothing changes. -
any advice?

I will give some advice. I think the way you played it, you either call down or fold. That being said you need to read the board and not what you have in your hand. That set looks really good, but there are also a lot of cards that will be scare cards if the fall on the turn. So what I suggest is to stop slow play hands, you need to jam at the guy after he bets on the flop. You will get a wide variety of hands to call you, and you are in control as well. Read the flop if there are scare cards that could come out raise.

well being that the preflop 3 better was the one who led the flop and after the mp player folded I'm heads up in position I thought calling might be better.
If I reraise on the flop Ax will deffinetly fold, and a AA, KK hand may slow down.
I planned on reraising the turn with just about any card. I thought letting the pot balloon, especially if he leads the turn it would be no problem getting our stacks in if he had a hand and would get an extra bet if he tried to two barrell.
As for scare cards I'm not supper concered about the flush draw, I'm also not really worried about him making a bigger set on the turn/river. IMHO the only scary card was the 3. -
Question I would be asking myself is why would someone 3bet preflop with a six in their hand. To me this looks like an overpair, which he has gone a little mad with. I also don't see how somebody with a hand better than yours checks the river in this spot after firing twice and being called twice other than possibly KK. Personally I would value bet here, as it's pretty likely your infront and especially at this level not impossible AA, AK suited, maybe even QQ pays you off.
But as previously mentioned I prefer the reraise on the flop. -
Except AA and AK are infront of me because they made the a-5 straight on the turn. That's my problem, any Ace that made a raise preflop is now way infront of me.

oh yes my bad, was pretty tired when i posted ha

I check on the end, because if you bet and get raised, you're going to want to punch yourself in the nuts.

He's not checking the straight. I make a pot sized value bet. he calls you with JJ
