  1. The villian was def. tilting at this point, as he had lost a couple big pots to a big donk who hit'n ran. these kinds of spots are what give me the most fits and get me into the most trouble b/c I am at a complete loss on what to do. I realize I shouldn't bet out with the intention of folding to a reraise, but checking seems so weak also. He could have a flush draw, a made straight, a better 2 pair, a pair with a flush draw, a pair with a straight draw, or air. I ended up folding b/c I dont feel comfortable playing a big pot oop having no clue where I am at, and only feel like I'm going to lose money in the long run in spots like this.

  2. Fold this utg and don't get yourself into this situation in the first place

  3. Fold pre
  4. the answer to almost any hh question is to fold pre
  5. We were 4 handed at this point, and I generally raise a wide range from the cutoff/button. And this kind of situation can still come up from any position, so I am more asking about how different people handle it.

  6. You played it fine and I like your thought process. No reason to fold pre as others have said, you can't sit around and wait all day 4-handed. Can't really add much to what you said in your OP.
  7. 3bet the flop and get it in to a shove his range is larger because he's been tilting

there are so many draws here that make the same play that we're ahead of also. If it indeed was 4 handed this is almost a premium to me so raise it up all day long

effective stacks are only 100 bb's and you have tp, even tho on the shittiest board ever
  8. Only 100 BBs? That's a lot. I don't know how this guy was playing, but generally tilters at this level will call with draws and chase all day to try to make up for losses, but don't tend to be aggressive like the guy in this spot. There's still another player in the pot at this point also, making it less likely he's raising with a weak hand. I feel like you're either going to be way behind or slightly ahead. I don't like a raise. Calling will change nothing OOP, unless you hit a Q or 9 on the turn. I like the fold.
  9. Not just top pair, top and bottom pair. That's near-nuts territory against a guy who's tilting. Get it in, then throw monitor when another Jack comes and you lose to KQ.
  10. 0% chance I fold in your situation.

I wouldn't raise this pre, but it's 6max and it's ok to mix it up, so I really don't hate it. However, if you are going to raise this type of hand pre, you sure as hell can't be folding on a flop like this against a guy who is tilting.

This flop makes draws with everything. A tilting player will raise this type of flop 95% of the time. There is a hugeeeeee chance he is drawing here and willing to stack off 100BBs because of it.

You have got to re-raise large here. I prob bump it to 26-30ish, and super insta snap call a shove.

Folding here is a gigantic leak.

That's not true at all. Anyone tilting at this level and with this board is raising a hugeeeeeeeee amount of the time.

    Folding is a massive mistake.
  12. Well if you want to raise a wide range and bump it up with Q9 UTG, why are you folding when you flop two pair?

So you need a 10 J K flop to continue or something? Why even play the hand then?
  13. My thought proccess was that i was either barely ahead of hands like KQ, Q10, flush draw (55/45 , 60/40) or I was completely crushed. I am just never comfortable getting it in on a flop like this and maybe it is a leak, but I seem to be more on the losing end in these situations and maybe thats just being results oriented.

    You are:

    70/30 against an unpaired T.

    62/35 against KQ.

    63/36 against Axcc unpaired.

    50/49 against AJcc.

    50/44 against QT.

48/50 against ATcc (a straight + nut flush combo draw).

    20/80 against a made straight.

Folding here is a big leak. You are absolutely CRUSHING the range of a tilting player. I'm surprised anyone is advocating for a fold, let alone multiple people.
  15. I dont understand why you bet 2$ into a 5$ pot. I feel like you opened urself up to get raised by as low as a straight draw.....arent you trying to protect ur hand agaist so many possible draws he could have.
  16. Well I will reiterate, if you aren't comfortable getting it in with this hand here, then don't play the hand at all. It is such spew to splash around so liberally pre flop and then continually give up on the flop. You're not only going to get played back at a ton, but it will be obvious when you have the goods. If you're going to play Q9....... then play Q9......
