After 400 $6.50 6max sng's on stars I am running @ 22%(Last 200 played in past couple weeks running @33%) I am just wondering is a 20-25% Roi attainable in these in the long run?
I aim to play these untill i reach 1,000 played and evaluate then.Am I dreaming or is there any 6maxers achieving close to that Roi?.Also is the $13 or even the $25 level beatable @ 20 -25% ?
I am most comfortable/profitable 6 tabling these continuous. In the new HEM tourney update ,the multitabling option shows that in the 1,200 odd games i've played from 3.25 to 13 ,when 6tabling these I have 34% roi.I know 5,000 is a more realistic amount to gauge my ability.Am I even in the Ball Park Here Guys?
Sorry bout all the figures Iv'e thrown up,I am just trying to figure out if I can commit to playing these full time coz im already pretty close to the hourly rate i earn from my fulltime job!Is there any P'5 ers playing SS 6max sng's for a living?
Thanks in advance, Bilko -
I played/play a truckload of these 6max SNG at pokerstars, too. My ROI is at 16%. I think I've played probably like 3000 of these SNGs. I am not perfect player, but I consider myself to be pretty good, at least in this format. With the horrible downswings you'll experience playing these, I think it would be really hard maintaining a +20% ROI when playing the 13+ stakes.

I don't know how many of these I've played lifetime, but I do know that I play these pretty well, and I do think that, at the $10 and below level, 25% ROI is attainable. I don't think you could go much higher than that, but I think you can hit that over the long term.
I'm also sure someone does play these for a living (though at a higher level), though I wouldn't do anything drastic. There is a ton to think about before leaving a job to play poker, but these would just pop to mind
1) You are at the mercy of regulation. Playing online poker's legality is a murky issue, and you see the Minnesota issue now. If states start blocking poker sites, the motivated players (usually pretty good) will do things to play. But, your really bad $6 players will just find a new hobby. This would make your games far more difficult.
2) Horrible economy right now. If you leave a job and it doesn't work out, odds are your job won't be waiting for you to come back, and you will likely have a difficult time finding a new one.
