  1. I concentrate almost all of my poker playing efforts in tournaments, both SNG's and MTT's
Recently Ive decided to start having a go at 6-man turbo SNG's for a few reasons. The first, and main reason, is that Im extremely aggressive. With less people at the table, my ability to keep a constant string of aggression is easier. When I finally hit that big hand, I find myself getting paid off much better than previously because of my table image. Especially when on occassion I bet/raise knowing that I will get repopped and have to fold, as I try to create a more LAG image than my true play shows. Do this two or three times, and players interpert it as weakness, without them knowing thats exactly what Im trying to make them think.
Ive found my SNG bottom line improving consistently as well since I've decided to pursue 6-man SNG's (mainly $50 buyins). Its not where I know it can be yet, but its steadily getting there.
What do you guys think is the biggest difference between 6-man and 9/10-man play? Is there anything in particular you change up in your game between the shorthanded and fulltable SNGs? Is there a certain reason you prefer one to the other?
I think alot of my shorthanded success can be attributed to the amount of time I spend playing heads up. Any of you found any correlation between headsup success and shorthanded success?
Ive also found that when it gets to the final table in a MTT (Especially in full tilt's misc. guaranteed $24-$69 buyin donkfests) that Im almost always a stepahead, which of course is influenced by greater exposure to shorthanded play.

  2. i prefer the full games because of the payout in the 6 handed games you have to win getting second you dont even make 2 buy ins but with the 10 seaters 2nd gets you 3 buy ins which is nice
  3. I think this is one of the reasons I like the 6-man's.
Keeps me focused on winning, not just placing (which I believe is one of my problems in full table SNGs)
