Not making this up. Phil Ivey and 5 others to play for $60 million winner-take-all in July, 2006 Fox Sports Net tourney in Australia. Pot expected to grow to $75 mil in 2007. Other 5 players not announced yet. Any bets on who else gets to play?
-
Hellmuth is always good TV so probably him.
-
Im guessing Negranue will be in it. Doyle would also seem like a player that made since. Im sure Andy Beal would love the chance to play in it as well.

60 mil, thats rediculous stakes
-
Andy Beal wouldn't do it. His whole point in playing the pros was to play them above their means so he could gain an edge. This wouldn't give him any kind of edge at all and he would get slaughtered.

I wonder if PS will run Sat's into it???
Just kidding... -
Who's sponsoring that kind of dough? This isn't coming from the players, is it?

Ivey will win. He's such an action junkie. A game like this is waaaaay up his alley.....
Wow, think about the possibilities- if it's winner take all, there could be a 60 million dollar rivercard. -
Thoght it would be fun to try to i.d. the others before they're named. Thinking they might put Annie Duke in or a known woman player. You know there's going to be major hype about this and they'll want some buzz and some betting after they name them. The more Buzz, the more controversy, he better - as far as Fox Sports is concerned. Think they also want to dent the WSOP.
