in hindssight, i think i should have defintily bet the turn hard to just because his range seems like its goin to be mid pairs the majority of the time after he calls the flop, don't feel like hes set mining with smaller pairs as much with such low stats, if i fire the turn hard again it might look like im setting myself to go allin on the river, so hes gonna have to commit all his chips with 99, but he called my check shove on the turn and doesn't that look as strong? thanks for any thoughts -
PeachyMer has been a high-stakes regular for a long time. She's quite good, and a PocketFiver.
Once she bets the turn, she's committed to the pot (getting 3:1 on her money) for your check-raise. The spot for the check-raise was the flop, when you have some fold equity.
After the flop played like it did, I think you lead large enough on the turn to make her think again, seriously considering what she's beating for all her chips. As it turns out, you're not getting her to fold either street, probably...but you can't wait until she's committed. -
I don't think you needed to check/jam the turn... couldn't you check/call and try to peel the overcard/club for cheap?
