  2. i like to b/f flop... not the type of board im going to delayed cbet and 2-barrel, as it is very hard to fold out any type of value hand that checked back the flop for pot control.

Yeah. So many hands are going to check/call turn and river when you delay like that.

Just cbet, if he raises let it go. When you raise pre from early position and then check a flop like this you're basically saying "I have a middle/low pp that missed." If you had checked with 1010 or KK on that flop, you would've checked the turn hoping to induce a bet that you could check/raise or check/call then bet out the river for value with a boat.

The way you played the hand it's a bluff probably 95% of the time.
  4. I agree with above. Just b/f flop, or bet and shut down if he calls. After he calls you on the turn, what is your goal in firing after the river? Are you trying to get value with 77 or are you trying to bluff? Given your line and check on the flop, I'd imagine he's calling you pretty light here. You may get value from a hand like 55 or 66 but he's also going to be calling you here with marginal hands like Tx or even 8s.

The only things you're folding out are broadway straight draws that you have beat anyway (ie, AJ or AQ). If you're going to bet turn, just check/call river instead of betting river. You may get value from him bluffing missed straight draws that would otherwise fold if you bet, plus he'll be content to check back medium strength hands that beat you that weren't folding if you bet anyway.

  5. interstin', my first initial thinking was one barell and check fold turn and or river..however what if we lead flop, check turn and opponent checks turn ? opponent checkin' turn is also sign of medium strength, can we ever pot river ? what percentage of the time would he call us there ? anyway to calculate this ?

as played in hh... i would just check fold river
where it went wrong imo is checkin' flop, also tough to play or even raise 77 in ep esp if ur not a strong post flop player....

also like to hear what most would say about best way to proceed mid pairs vs these boards

    peace
