For a TAG player which of the two games are better to play? fifty/fifty(turbos) or 9man/6man turbo's?

Also I have 109 buyins for my current level and a 26% ROI for the last 150 games at 9man turbo's.
However I only have 54 buyins to move to the next level and have developed a phobia of moving up, as I know how easy it is to drop 10+ buyins and I am not sure if I am ready for the next level.
How do I overcome this and should I wait till I have 100 buyins for that level to feel comfortable? -
Depends on the level, but what I've done is mix levels at first, until I feel comfortable breaking free. For example, when I was doing $12 9-man turbos, after a while I started mixing in maybe 20% $24s. It allowed me to get a feel for the play (which turns out is pretty similar), and not risk too much if I hit a downswing. Over time I started playing 50% 24s, then eventually 100% 24s. This should also help mitigate the phobia and let you just play your game without thinking too much about losing. This is a key for gaining confidence during a level-up.
If youre moving up from say $5 sngs to $10 sngs, then 54 buyins is plenty to test the waters, but if youre at a buy-in where the margins are thinner, id be more cautious. Either way, 26% ROI is good, though 150 games is a very small sample. If youve only been at your current level for a short time, you might consider getting a larger sample under your belt so you have a better grasp of where you stand competitively. Good luck! -
As far as moving up in buy-ins goes, I make sure I have 50 buyins at the level I'm playing, plus another 5 or 10 at the level I'm trying to move up to. Then play with the 5 or 10 buy-ins and if you lose the 5/10 buyins build them up again until you succesfully make the transition from one level to another.
