I think this is a sigh fold that you have to make, since Mahtode and Dun ya nuts both could have checked the flop with a weak Q to keep the pot small, and Mahtode especially could have checked the flop with a weak A.
Also it may have been a good idea to isolation raise the limper because you can win the pot from the limper folding and it gives you the preflop betting lead, meaning you can win the pot with a cbet often.
I understand you're trying to flop a set, but you don't have good implied odds because the limper has a very undefined range of hands, so its best to be aggressive, i hope this helps. -
I also like a preflop raise here. Like Marrs said it will help to isolate the limper and define his range a little more. This then gives you the option to cbet/f a flop here. Playing a hand this passively gives you absolutely no information.
I don't see how you can call here on the turn. I would say someone checking an A rag or Q on the flop is very likely especially with V1 betting and V2 calling. This is not a hand where you want to be playing against multiple opponents and it is not one you can take down with a raise on the turn. You are likely drawing to 2 outs. The way you played here, i make an easy fold. -
I agree, def raise pre
-
You almost always have the best hand so you wanna be isoing that guy, or at least trying to, pre by popping it up to 2400.
As played there really is zero decision to be made on the turn. Fold. Quickly. -
I think 2400 is high. I was thinking 15-1800. Always raise with 9s in shorthand game. You have to get A rag out of hand. C bet def takes hand down.
-
Yeah I didn't notice we are 6max here. You could go 2200-2250 but anything less is too little imo. You don't want it to be too small that you invite more action. 99 is fine hand but not in a multiway bloated pot. The purpose is to take it down pre or get heads up with the limper in position.

Not knowing what stage of the tourney you are at but assuming approaching late, with 88bb pocket 9's and a limper in front I think I'm raising to 1800 or 2000, you would also need to realize that a 4 bet would possible from behind if someone thinks you are isolating the limper and the blinds having over 50bb and your size stack they have room to make plays , but me personally I would fold to the small stack reraise (his stack is only 25bb and 5 betting commits you to calling all-in and if flat calling you have to play the hand out of position and the only way you can feel comfortable is by flopping a set). I probably 5 bet the bigger stacks in the blinds depending on their reraise size but if I think their table presence tight and they are not reraising light I may fold. Just my opinion
With how you played it, I'm folding its highly unlikely 99 is any good there, your probably looking at an Ace from the small blind with a weak kicker -
+1 very good analysis, agree 100%
