  1. Not many reads on villain - running at 20/20 after only 10 hands.

    I hear time and again that we want to have chips going INTO the money/final table. With that in mind - despite the fact that the CO might be shoving a little narrower as we are on the bubble - can we find a fold here? OR does the above not apply with 5bbs as it is very unlikely we can win the tournament, and should be just folding into the money?

    We have chips invested and a hand that I feel is doing well vs. his shoving range.

    Thoughts...?

  2. If you want to just fold to get into the money maybe your playing out of your bankroll limits? Most people wont think about the bubble in the low stakes tournaments

    A9o is ahead of his shoving range there he should be shoving Ax 22+ K8+ QT+ stuff like that

    If he seems really nitty you could possible assign him a nittier range and fold and open jam in the next orbit but i think this is a decent enough spot to get your chips in.

    Oh and when you say its unlikely your going to win.. if you have 1 single chip you have a chance to win ive come 2nd in a tournament once coming back from having 1/3rd of an ante.

  3. Definitely call. Even against a somewhat tight shoving range, you have about 50% equity. Given the dead money, it's an easy call.

    equity win tie pots won pots tied

    Hand 1: 49.830% 45.48% 04.35% 2775417492 265523718.00 { A9o }

    And you're ahead if he's shoving a bit wider

  4. Snap call for me. Can't be thinking about the bubble, play for first, you crush his cut-off shoving range whens he's sitting with 8bb
  5. He is probably shoving any A, any two broadway cards, and some suited connectors. We are ahead of his range. Call all day

    I'm just being results oriented :)

    I called and he got there with AQ. I am never folding here - just wanted to be sure that I was right.

    In truth, I used to play more like you describe above, but now I am always gunning for the win/1st-3rd and I try not to lose sight of that.

    True - I've gone from .5bb to 20bbs before, but sadly no win!
