    calling the flop is such a losing play if you're folding to a turn bet as no card on the turn will make your hand better and still get u paid off for the most part. Fold flop. Its exploitable but these guys aren't going to exploit it in general.

    yeah i can see that now. folding to the flop raise was the obvious play. its not like this is some random donk - i know he's a good player and he's betting exactly the amount that i'd bet if i had 2 pair/set/str8 to protect vs flush draws.

    my only logic for calling the flop was just to "test him out" and see if he fired on the turn. when he fired exactly the same proprotion of the pot again it was pretty obv i was beat, but yeah that was already clear on the flop.

    at least i layed it down, but i lost a little more than i had to. thx for the comments.

    if its a good player i'd think there's a much greater chance you're good as they're more likely to raise with draws.

    yeah, maybe, that did cross my mind, but i just didnt think it was worth the risk. i'm left with a workable stack (and i'm still in the tourny now, 2.5 hrs later)
