To be honest with you the extra 7k isn't going to sway anyone's decision that much. If you really wanted to push him out of the hand you should of doubled your original raise at the very least, if not go all in. Especially from mid-position, to weed out any potential drawing hands. Either way in this case if he would of called you would of lost, but in any event that might just get him to lay down the marginal pocket pair. I am ultra aggressive with AA because if you do get called at least you are most certainly out front to the flop. If everyone folds, at least you picked up a small raise and some blinds which insures your place in the tourney for the time being.
Anyway you look at it, it was a bad beat and you got unlucky. You didn't really play the hand wrong per-say, but you definately could of tried to get him off the hand by putting him all in. The flop killed ya bro. -
re raise all in pf would of been a good play to
-
i dont mind the small reraise b/c you do want a little action with your AA (although this pot is pretty big and a reraise all in would still probably get you one caller) but i think a raise to 27K would have likely pushed one out and with 2 callers ahead its something to consider
-
There's a raise and a call...I'm reraising to put both of them all in right here. That guy makes a bad call with 8s right there...you don't try to set mine for half your chips like that preflop. If anything he should have been all in preflop. He says "ty"...he should be thanking stars for rewarding his crappy play.
-
Yeah I couldn't believe he'd call my reraise OOP w/ 88. Anyway, thx for the advice guys. Will play it right next time :)
