  3. lol..one question tho..what do you do when its midway through a MTT and you pick up JJ in the BB and an aggresive player raises to 600(blinds are 100 200)? Jam it, fold, or call? I faced this tonight and I jamed it and couldn't out run AQ, I felt afterward that I played it horrid I should of just called and I could of gotten away from the hand and still had a pretty decent chip stack. I guess I kinda answerd my own question but any input is always great thanks ^_^

  4. I'm not a great player, but I would have re-raised the hyper agressive player too. He could be raising you with anything, and against AQ you are actually a slight favorite. Now if the flop came with an A,K, or Q then i'd be a little more worried if the same player pushed again.
  5. but you have to look one step deeper.. if he calls your re raise now what do you have him on? if the flop comes 567.. now what do you do?? he jsut called 1200 at the 100/200 stage.. now you cant even really play it that hard.. AND if you bet like 500 to feel him out.. well surprise he re raises you.. now you dont even know what to think and your pretty much forced to believe that aggressive players can get a good hand..

But also lets look at it this way. You are him.. and you just raised it to 600.. and its jsut you vs BB.. now that bb raises you to 1200... why? why would he raise you? the pot is isolated.. he jsut stole the aggression from you... it makes more sense for AA to jsut call... then check call flop.. then check raise turn.

So when you raise him.. your basically saying your not a monster hand.. if i was the aggressor chances are you would not win this pot from me unless you went all in on flop.. I dunno what to tell you because your not against me.. but based on the players information i would probably consider you to not be that strong if you re raise me.

however this guy probaly was a donk.. and wouldnt think this deep and thats generally why i dont do good in normal tournys and why i wasnt very good at low stakes poker. However like i said once i got to 25/50 i was able to do 13 straight sessions without a single lose and its because players do look deep and they do watch you closely.. (perfect thats what i want)

Let me explain to you a hand from today's live game. I was playing against a player which i considered to be very strong and very aware of what was happening at the table. I decided that i was willing to lose money.. to win more (mahatma style) i got in a pot with him and i purposely bet a large bet into the pot when i knew he had a good hand (so he would re raise me and i fold and show vbluff) anyhow i bet 125% of the pot.. he re raised me and i showed him like 7 high and shook my head. (acting it up) Anyhow now it was time to see if my gamble would pay off because next big hand i get against him.. iam gonna win way more then i purposely lost to him.

The hand came up about 20 minutes later where he re raised me preflop and i jsut called. I had him on a strong hand something around QQ etc. I called him with TT and i spiked a top set on a rainbow board. I thought for a bit and i checked my cards once more and then i said i bet 200. (pot was 90) he instantly pushed me all in and i quickly called. Of course he couldnt spike his card and he was left stunned trying to figure out what happened. This might be a poor example because QQ is indeed a nice hand here but the point is that i prefer players who know how to play because all of my deep plays are based off how people look at me. I picture myself as them.. and i watch myself play from their point of view.. i notice when they catch onto a flaw in my game and i do what it takes to manipulate them right back.

I firmly believe that this is what sets most rounders apart from pros. Mostly all rounders can go.. hes got AA but i have top pair top kicker.. i gotta call just to see it. Or rounders will stick to one style.. and they jsut leave it at that. (if they are bluffing they bet pot.. if they want callers they bet 75%.. they understand the game well enough to make their living.. but they never really do a "spin" as i call it and try to watch how they play so that they can really make another players head spin when he completly changes everything "every bluff is 75% of pot and every made hand is 100%.. then he sees them catch on so he changes again.. then when youve had enough fun with that you start betting 45% of pot and 130% and now people are really wondering WTF you are doing. I dunno its jsut a quick lil spir of inspiration i had to write here.. prolly jsut gitty because i bought myself an ipod and went shopping for an entire new wardrob for school with todays NL winnings (live game)

same thing goes for this post.. dont jsut read it.. actually take these numbers and replay it in your head.. take a familiar face.. seat him across from you.. and pretend he just bet into you.. and you raise him... and pretend that you saw him always bet pot when he bluffs.. you know what iam saying? you gotta really put an effort into everything if you want to go a step higher.
  6. I would say the biggest question is was he a maniac who will call any re-raise, or is he an aggressive player that lays down to playback?

If he will call you with any hand, you might just want to call and make that same re-raise bet on the flop to see where you stand. If he can lay down a steal, I would re-raise him.
