Has anyone used this option before? I assume this would be a faster way to get your money rather than waiting for a paper check that might bounce. Does it work like the echeck option? Ty for your help!

It's not exactly the same.
Check to find out what your bank's fees are for wire transfers. -
Would you guys recommend this method versus the paper check... i'm trying to avoid the hassel with the bank if a paper check bounces..... besides the fee this seems like the way to go!
-
also wondering about this as paper check for me bounced and now has been pending for way too many days.

First off, I believe the min is $2.5k for a wire....someone posted this the other day, as I posted that the min on FTP is $5k. I haven't verified this, but I believe it to be correct.

Secondly, I would recommend paper checks unless you're in a big hurry to get your money and need it in the next few days. If you're very concerned about it not being good, you can email stars with the check number after you receive it and verify that the check is fine to be cashed. From what I've heard, they're not having problems with more bad checks going out. I'm by no means guaranteeing you'll get a good check, but the worst that can happen is that you'll have to wait a little longer if it ends up being a bad check, and you'll still save on the wire fees. -
Yeah I get confused on a bank transfer and a bank wire. Cuz on ftp, one of the two is depending on what deposit limits u had set...mine was like 995 which was hella gay...but they had a 20k+ only, which was the other one. Good advice tho

Wire transfer is fast and easy. stars charges no fees for it, your bank does though and it's usually about $50-$100. I like it because it's easy and secure; great for large amounts. Minimum for a wire transfer on Stars is $5k when I last checked, but I think it may be different now due to the current payment processor situation. Full Tilt offers it also, but their minimum is $20k.
