siicccckkkk 1st post! way to jump on the bandwagon! you personally got $$$ stolen from you by AP/UB right???
  5. you should be casing 15-20% of the time in MTTs...probably closer to 20% on AP/UB...im not sure how often you should get top 3...but probably between 3-5% the time...so 20-33% of the time you cash, those cashes should be top 3's...

Your cash percentage is usually based on the pay percentage. If 20% of spots are paying, you want to average close to that.

I think the top 3 again has to be based on field size. You want to finish top 3 more than expectation. If there is an average of 100 people in a tournament, then you want to top 3 more than 3% of the time. But, if it has 500, you just won't get there as often.
  7. I understand that winning players tend to have a lower overall cash % but a very high FT %. So worrying about your overall cash % doesn't really help much. If you cash 40% of the time, but it's always a min-cash, you're still losing money.

If you cash 5% of the time but half of those cashes are top-3, then you should be making a steady profit.

At least, that's what I've been lead to believe. Those are extreme examples of course, but you get the idea.
  8. thanks for the advice im on target than I am cashing in 33% of mtt with 8% final tables
