Of course we allow people to talk about "real shit" here. We do not welcome random speculation with nothing to back it up that we deem bad for the community.

If there is any veracity to these claims I will be very disappointed, but after reading 10 pages of that thread I don't see any proof, just speculation about one or two particular hands where someone made a ridiculous call that runed out to be correct.

I think the important thing to note in this particular case is that no one was not let to talk about anything. A section of the thread was moved to the bad beat forum by one of our moderators. It's really not a big deal.

FYI as soon as I found out about this, I moved that section back into the original thread. It shouldn't have been moved originally, but either way, nothing was ever deleted on this subject except for one post that was laced with racial slurs.

Until all the info is laid out before us. I tend to look at it as rumor. I know most of the first thread got pulled into Mod forum on 2+2.
Absolute is easily my most profitable site. Would suck if this is true at all. But really if there is a super account that was stolen from absolute. This really isnt a total lose for anyone unless that program was leeked to tons of ppl. Even then all Absolute has to do is re-write some of the code and it is fixed.
pokerplanet was hacked years ago and didnt kill online poker. I doubt this will effect online poker at all. Only the most diehard of us belong to online forums. 90% of players are recreational players who dont read these forums.

I just read that entire thread and it looks 100% legit, AP has either had their software cracked (highly unlikely) or there are accounts that can see hole cards/flops-rivers that were developed by the people that designed AP's RNG/website. (highly likely)

i dont know if AP will give me the HH for the 1k on wed. but i played about 2 hours with the guy, and unless im mistaken he never guessed wrong, he either won the hand with no showdown, or had the best hand at showdown, he lost one huge pot on the river, where he called off over 50 bbs with A6 on like a 762 board, he lost to 109 on river. he played a ton of pots, i dont know why but i raised his bb twice, he obv pwnd me both times (thats not hard to do). but one hand was wierd, i had like K8 on a AKx flop, i checked behind, i was planning on calling turn. turn was like a broadway card. he checks, i check. river another broadway card, board was like A K J 10 x. and he bet like 4x the pot to put me allin if i called. didnt make sense, i know some ppl overbet the nuts in some spots, but that didnt make any sense. i swear i almost called, because the rest of table had me convinced he could see there cards, and i hadnt shown any strength the whole hand. and if he is just some donk who got lucky and really cant see the cards he wouldnt bet a straight like that. well that doesnt really prove anything, but there were some hands that i wasnt in that were just not humanly possible. he was stacking ppl left and right with weird action/showdowns. flame away, i dont know how he did it, but he knew what everyone had.

A friend of of mine is perpetually telling me online poker is rigged. I am perpetually telling him he's crazy. He is always spouting about how is such a great player and only loses coz his accounts get rigged. I tell him to come down to earth and realize he needs to get alot better,

I once bet him $100 it wasn't rigged, even though I could only lose the bet or break even at best as there would be no way I could ever win since proving it is NOT rigged would be impossible.

Anyway, he once told me Absolute poker has "shills" which he explained are people who work for AP that can see the cards. He even sent me to a link at this site where people who think online poker is rigged go to clammer about it.

So, it was a post that was supposedly from a guy who was formerly a "shill" for AP. Anyway in broken English this genteman (forget his name) stated that he had worked in a call center type environment where they played on a special program that allowed them to see the cards . They had to meet certain quotas or they were turfed. AP kept most of the money and they took a small %. The guy goes on to say he got fired because he didn't make his quotas.

This basically made me laugh at my friend and tell him that ANYONE could have written that. I told him it appeared to me to be the workings of a very creative paranoid delusional geek with a propensity to like to stir the pot because it makes him feel good. In fact as I told him this I realized it fit the profile of my friend very well, and therefore probably all of his conspiracy theory buddies too.
