  1. I've often wondered, and it may have been addressed in this forum, if the amount of poker information available for everyone going to make it more difficult for players to do well in the future. I feel like as a whole, most players are getting better. Granted there are still numerous bad players, but everyday these bad players are out buying books, joining training sites, signing up on these forums to improve their games. So my next question is where will the fresh meat come from? In five years are we going to be praying on players that are currently like 13 years old?

ive just always been curious about whether or not all this information is a good thing. but without it, i wouldnt be where i am.
  2. Nah not really, if the majority of people read this shit they don't really apply it all that well.
  3. I think there are enough people out there who make 0% effort to improve their game to keep it thriving for a long time.

Look at people who play high stakes table games in casinos...do they ever take a second to "learn" that theres no way they can win? Nah, they just like to gamble. Same goes for a ton of online poker players...i can't estimate what %age actually does try to improve, but i would be suprised if even as much as 50% have read a poker book, let alone actually learned something from it.
  4. yea that makes sense. i know when i play live, i will rarely sit with someone who really knows what theyre doing, and most people make fun of the fact that some people read books on the game. maybe its just me, but if im going to invest my time and money into something, even if its a hobby, i want to it to the best of my abilities. its hard for me to think more people wouldnt have this same outlook on poker.
