    we all know how prevalent adderall is in college now of days. we all have probably taken it to study at least once. i was wondering if anyone takes it to play poker, i have once and played so focused and well, and i have a friend that takes it reguraly to play. i was wondering if anyone else believes that they play better on adderall? mike matusow also talks about his 'medicine' he took during the 2005 wsop that helped him concentrate so much better. i have a good feeling that this was probably adderall too.

    Funny that you posted this, I am far from having ADD/ADHD but yesterday I just ordered a decent supply of Adderall for midterms/finals and for playing MTTs. I have used it now and again just for fun or if I have a lot of school work to do, yet to use it for poker, but there is no doubt in my mind that it would help a lot in MTTs especially late in the tourney, when youre usually tired, worn out, whatever, I just hope my supply arrives before the 750k this sunday.

    You can order it at a pretty cheap price online, or if you have any friends with ADD/ADHD you might be able to bum some off of them. It really is fun, you can read the most boring school shit ever and for some reason its incredibly fascinating.

    yea i was prescribed, and i played much better in MTT's deeper in due to focus. i also played live in vegas and sat at a cash game for almost 6 hours lol. im seriously thinking about taking it before all mtt's.

    it is a miracle drug, lol. i have a feeling this post is soon going to stray into the ethics of adderall. does it help you with your play though?

    I just ordered mine from I think... Legalmeds.com, but seriously just search on google for Adderall and youll get a million hits from sites in Thailand or wherever that will ship it to you. Not synthetics either, the real deal, or so they claim.

    Adderall is the absolute nuts for optimal play for about a 6-10 hour window

    Then, unless you keep taking a shitload more, you just start to feel like shit and all strung out

    I used to take them most days a few years ago because I hated my job so fucking much that at least bein a lil spiced up made the time go by faster (as well as greatly increasing productivity)

    I especially find it helpful for playing live, I find myself attaining a ton more information about the others at the table that I'm missing a lot of the time.

    I only take "goofballs" as my friends call them..haha...occasionally now cuz I hate being tired as hell but not able to sleep feeling, but anytime I feel like playing cards all night, and still making it to my 8 am class, they def come in handy

    Maby its just me, but just about any place that google comes up with will probabbly be fake. I have read in some other places that aderall is just about imposibble to get online without getting ripped off/ hounded by the DEA. Yes I have taken before tournys, yes it helps. But for a good all nighter before a final, shits the BEST.

    Thats a great characterization of the effects of Adderall, honestly its like some magic pill that makes the most boring shit incredibly interesting, and interesting stuff(ala poker) you analyze at a much more in depth level. This is sort of a topic that I have been interested in for a while, what effect "performancing enhancing 'drugs'" have on online poker play, such a dipping(guilty as charged, and in my mind needed for late night sessions), adderall, etc. I think there is a clear advantage w/ these things, as far as alertness, focus, etc.

    I dont know who youve been trying to order from, but I find that statement incredibly false. I have ordered ultram from a couple of sites pulled right off of Google in the last couple years, and they have arrived without any complications. I will honestly laugh my ass off if the DEA comes storm trooping into my apartment for my order of 100 pills of adderall.

    I didnt read all the posts, but i took some for school once and came home still all amped up and played poker, never made such sick laydowns in my life, I thinking about starting to permanently supply myself, just worried about the side effects of doing diet coke all the time.

    I'm prescribed to Adderall. It's ideal for ADD. It was one of the main reasons I went on my original run (plus $1200) that got me into poker. For what it's worth.

    Umm.. adderall is really bad for your heart guys. I was looking into getting some too and my Aunt who's a doctor about freaked out on me. It makes your blood pressure rise so if you already have high blood pressure I highly recommend not taking adderall.

    Agreed, plus there are all-natural, herbal supplements that give you the same benefits without the side effects--unless you consider the occasional 14 hr erection a side effect. :) J/K

    Just because Adderall is a prescription drug and millions of people are on it doesn't mean its not a serious drug. Aderall is considered by the DEA to be in the same class as cocaine and oxycontin. Binge use of aderall can have serious side effects. There is also the possibility of longterm damage to neurons which will make you dumber in the longrun. But if winning some extra money or getting a b in a class is more important than your health knock yourself out.
