New to the site..play primarily MTT's...used to stars...
Played first MTT there tn ($2,000 guar, placed 7th)...noticed the play is somewhat diff...
People that play there as their main site (or often), what do you think the major diff is in play?
Advice?

bodog and PS are like night and day. While both full of fish... the PS fish swim upstream and the ones on bodog prefer to swim downstream.
Nice brag post. -
Personally, I find that you have to make larger raises to push people out of the hand a lot of times, especially pre-flop. It seems everyone always wants to see the flop. There are lot's of min raises and when you push over top them, everyone still seems to call.
On the other hand, if I am on top of my game on bodog, I find it easier to go deep because if you make the right reads, and get a little lucky, you can build a big stack from really loose players making crazy plays. -
Since pokerstars is only a poker room, you get very tight, waiting-for-cards style of play from a lot of people. There are still plenty of reckless goofballs, to be sure.
Since Bodog is historically a sports and race book, with the casino attachment as well, you get a LOT of chase-any-two players. It's a LOT looser, and therefore, more profitable (IMO). -
Thanks a lot for the responses guys...i feel the same way after that one tourney as you do, command. It seemed like players were just TRYING to give me chips...is it always that poor? The 2k guar is a smaller tourney, only $12 buy in..is it like that in some of the bigger ones?
Thanks for your response also graps, i did take the sports betting/casino players into consideration as a few of the guys at the FT with me told me they make their "living" sports betting.
And this wasnt really a brag post, i got 7th, which was only good for like $75 lol. Kind of a waste of 4 hours. -
yeah i would say bodog fish got big balls and small brains....oh yeah and K10 never loses on bodog

As far as bodog I find the sngs alot easier to beat. I am sure there are alot more fish on stars since there are alot more peeps. i get sucked out alot on stars and on bodog i can usually run a steady game. I see alot more peeps try to be sneaky on Bodog and will push with top pr regardless of kicker. They do this on Stars too the only thing is they actually sukout their kicker to win.
