  1. Every Sunday, before I register for all my tournaments, I have a list of MTT pros that I look up on both PS and FTP to see what their tournament schedules are like. One thing I find in common is that most of them play at least 20 tourneys throughout the day. some of these mtt grinders play a whole lot more than that too, starting as early as 2pm and starting new tourneys throughout the whole day, up to 1am. I cant help but wonder when I watch these guys, how do they play so consistently, and how do they get around doing other everyday tasks while 6-15 tabling mtt's all day? When it comes to going to the bathroom I understand, the laptop on the lap while droppin a deuce has become pretty standard for any mtt grinder I would assume, lol. But what about if u have to make something to eat? How many tables can an mtt pro manage profitably while preparing a meal? I cant seem to get it down, and it becomes a hassle during the sunday afternoon when i can have anywhere between 6 and 12 tables open. And most importantly, how can one maintain both their physical and their psychological stamina so well so as to play 6-15 tables for 12 hours of nonstop play? earlier today I couldnt do it, starting at 3 and having bust out of everything by 8:30, i decided not to start anything else like I usually would have. I gave up rather than continue to lose, and although i know it was the best choice because I was so mentally burned out and unfocused that I knew i was simly incapable of +ev play, it was frustrating to unreg from all those tournaments. Anybody else have this problem, of being unable to finish a session? Any mtt grinders' advice would be welcome. glgl
     
  2. Not eating will solve:

    1) having to make meals
    2) Staying in shape
    3) Not as much deucing

    Or,

    Get a girlfriend that can cook or scream at you when you have AA
  3. i live who roommates who dont ever play much online poker so when i say i will transfer them x amount of money if they go get me food or make me a meal.
     
  4. What is it about going for a shit with ur laptop, and getting involved in some crazy hand where u end up bluffing all in, there must be some scientific reasoning there or is it just me lol
  5. Yeah, I would think most MTT grinders do one of 3 things when playing

    1) Don't eat
    2) Have someone (girlfriend/wife, other) make food
    3) Have something prepared ahead of time so quick microwave warmup and its good to go.

  8. I usually just heat up left overs if I am real hungery but if you just drink some coffee or an energy drink all the drugs in those kills your appettite

    Yeah, not eating is definitely the best way to stay in shape

    lollllllllll, i just had to wake up one of my roommates for a lighter and hes really choked i didnt let him sleep in. you need that morning bowl before tournies tho !!
     
  14. Have your wife and/or friends make you food, and help you out. This is what I try and do. Or just have something delivered.

    I only play one or two days a week though. If I did it every day, I would prepare my meals ahead of time.

    Just plan ahead, it shouldn't be that hard.
