  1. I have an older laptop that I currently play poker on but am in the market to get a new one. I want a laptop since I already have a MacMini hooked to a 24'' Samsung LCD but I purchased it for my girlfriend and can't always play on it. In addition, I enjoy laying on my couch and playing. I want a larger screen for poker purposes and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? Models, minimum specs, etc.

    Thank you in advance.
  2. if its just for playing poker it really doesnt have to be powerfull, the poker software takes up very little of your pcs/laptops performance

whats more important to online poker is your internet connection instead of the laptop, and a decent screen altho with a 24" screen doubt you have this issue

Not to mention there are newer members always joining that may have input on this thread and obv weren't able to post on an older thread. It bothers me when people get all bent out of shape over new threads that may be 'reposts.' /rant

Also, OP, like someone mentioned ealier...if it's mostly going to be used for poker you don't need anything over the top. I use a 17" toshiba laptop with the std ram/processors and it has been top notch for the last 2.5-3 yrs. I have zero desire for a newer laptop so take that fwiw. I also have mine hooked up to a 23" acer monitor with TN and HEM running with almost zero lag that I can tell.
