  1. 28 players remaining, in the money, have been at the table less than an orbit. UTG w/ AJo and a M of 6.

    You have to push, right?

  2. shoving 15 BB's.
  3. fold
  4. this is table and image dependent like most situations. I lean towards a fold here, but push 99+, AQo+
  5. i fold and wait for a better spot. 15 BB is playable. if you had 10 BB def jam

if quietstorm shoves 15 BB utg, then shove is probly the right play
  6. lol u sat in my seat hahahah...i had just went out on that table....
  7. Once you ship some big tournaments you'll find that time is money with 15bbs or less no matter the position if it's up to you to open. ShiP and focus on the next table decision.

  8. For simplicity's sake let's look at what the numbers look like if you only get called when you're crushed. Someone at your table will have JJ+/AQ+ roughly 22% of the time. Your equity against that range is about 25%, so you'll lose about 22,500 22% of the time and gain 5,000 78% of the time, total ev of -1050. The looser the calling range, the better the ev equation looks, but -1050 is a lot to overcome so I think it's a fold.

EDIT: This is just looking at cEV, $EV might be different when you factor in ICM.

  9. ez shove
  10. With a M of 6 this would recommend a shove, even UTG..
  11. It seemed borderline to me, but I went with the push and ran into kings.

    And thanks for the feedback!

  12. I seem to run into this spot a lot too. With 28 to go, I am probably shoving, I think this decision gets harder for non regs the closer you are say to like 15-11 left. (Although I still probably shove)

  13. shove seems fine to me

  14. These tourneys play loose, I would fold and not even raise. I suck at poker math but play extremely tight ABC poker in these tourneys and work the late POS and the blinds without exploiting yourself to much. You have plenty of chips in this position i feel. I had great luck with these playing that way... Then I tried to play the other way and failed miserably.... I dont have the poker luck to shove junk and win tho... :)
  15. Shove, not shoving ATo

  16. this is very dependant on your table image and how loose/tight the table is. id prob fold aj shove aq+ i find myself in these all the time and shove ak UTG w/ M=10 or less to get called by any pc pair or any face cards by bigger stack and usually lose. u have a deccent stack and cud def find better spots than this but shove wudnt be bad.
  17. ummm, definetly shoving AJ suited... AJo is like, when are blinds going up, structure, and If I've got dome that day or not (because if so than I'm happy with my day and I'll shove with confidence)
  18. It's close but I would shove. The fact that you realize that this is a marginal spot shows that you know what you are talking about.

  19. Shove
    prolly shoving ATs too
