Villian has been active since the final table mixing up his raises and calling raises. I had a tight image up to this point. Having won a few pots without showing anything down and pretty much inactive due to being card dead. Villian had min raise several hands and won without show down.
Question: Did I risk too much by moving in here? What play(if any) would have been better preflop. I can't count the number of tourny's I bust late with AK vs small pp by moving in pre. Really think this is a big leak.
Thoughts Please?

You made the correct play here and lost the coin flip.............. this time. It's unfortunate for you that this player called, and had his hand hold, in a spot where he could only be a small favourite or a huge dog, but you got your money in the way you were supposed to, my friend.

I would say run better but just getting to the 3dollar rebuy FT is a nice accomplishment. Grats, and here is my bustout the one and only time I made that final table. Hope it makes you feel a little better.

Thanks Guys and thanks for the kind words.
I must say I was amazed he called so quickly and turned over 3's. Thats poker I guess.
Hockeywonk...your hand does make me feel better bro. And I thought losing a coin-flip after 7.5 hours sucked. Funny you can get this deep in a tough tourny to FT and still leave pissed.
