  1. In lieu of all the AK talk...I'd like some opinions on this hand please.

Final table of a 180 man, 6 people left. The button has been staying out of my way, and I was pretty much staying out of his way. What's the optimal play here?

  2. awwwwww innnnnnnnnnnnn.......................
  3. Hmm.....I guess this for me would depend on more of a feel for the table than anything else.

What does that raise from blitzk02 actually mean? Does he make reraises like that often? Are they normally that amount? ETC...

Personally I think this is a spot where I could see doing really anything depending on table reads. If you think chipserg will fold here, then call and see the flop. If you feel that blitzk02 is making a move at the pot then I would reraise to 22K here. If you feel like he's strong I would fold.

My default reaction would be to just fold this here, which is a weak play I understand, but being chipleader I'm not interested in flipping a coin for an ultra-bigstack. If you have a read then go with it here, if not then I tend to fold.
  4. 6 handed i'm shoving this....full ring i prob fold
  5. your chip lead is not all that great
your position on the flop sucks if you flat call
an all in pf is horrible imo

I say put the reraiser on JJ/QQ/possibly AQ for starters

fold and let the initial raiser call this. do you have much knowledge of the reraiser's style of play???

there are better opportunities than this waiting for a stack like urs
  6. blitz would have to be ridiculous tight for me to do anything other than jam here. However, I've been known to 4 bet 9Js in spots like this so....

  7. Without a read that makes me think blitz ONLY reraises with big pairs I don't see how you can avoid playing this. You have the chip lead at the final table and you should probably use that to your advantage. Besides why does he have to have such a tight range here? It's 6 handed and blitz is reraising the cutoff. I don't see how anyone, with no reads, can assume a range of JJ+ AQ+. That's a seriously tight range at a 6 handed final table, no? Count me in the category of people that overplay AK fwiw but I'm reraising to 20-24K and calling a shove.
  8. Based on how he was playing, he was playing solid, only really raising in position. I put him on AJ+, 99+ as I don't think he would make that play with absolute air or a suited connector.

I thought a huge overshove would look way too much like either AK or a mid pocket pair, so I decided to put in a decent raise instead, hoping to get the bottom of the range (99, 1010, JJ, AJ, AQ) to fold. I was intending on calling a shove as now about half of my chips are already in the middle, however, I really was not expecting him to just flat call, but now after I think about it, I prob. should have raised a little more, maybe to about $31k.

Now I am OOP w/ 1/2 my chips in the middle. Based on his flat call, I now believe his cards to be at the top of the range (QQ, KK, AA, AK maybe JJ), of which the only hand I really want to see is JJ or QQ. Check-folding seems really weak, obv. can't bet-fold to shove, too many chips in the middle to be able to check raise as any raise would commit either one of us, so do you guys push even though you are almost def. behind or dominated? Is it way to weak to check/fold and conserve what I have left? Is going all in PF a better move so I'm not stuck in this situation or does playing it this way still allow me to get away from it?
