villian's 3rd hand at the table.... this has to be like JJ+ ? If we fold we still have nearly 100bb and flipping for half of our stack in this spot seems spewey? Is this a nitty fold?

  2. You don't need to play this hand for 4000 at this early stage, even if Rounder's range is somehow 88+ (which I doubt is the case). Fold and keep your 7650.

Agreed......AKs looks powerful, but it's still just a drawing hand. Too early in tourney to spew half your stack with AK.
  4. i mean the villian is def capable of getting in worse and there's nearly 1700 in dead money out there and we have a chance at a v nice stack.....

So what? Just because he's capable of getting it in worse doesn't mean he did. Still too risky at this stage of the tourney with what is essentially a drawing hand and I would fold in this spot.
  6. hard to know.... this used to be AA ALL the time before LAGs got involved.

if he is top 3%, TT+ AK+ then we have 43% equity. minues CEV...

if we drop AA and KK (and leave QQ+), we have 47% equity.... so good chip EV, but ICM prob means fold.

    clear fold...

it doesnt mean he didnt either, but its something we have to consider when ranging him.

what do you mean by too risky?

if we win this pot we have a monster stack and a great chance at making a deep run. if we lose we still have 4k to work with which is about an avg stack at this point. with all the dead money out there and the fact we have somewhere around 45% equity im leaning towards a call

you forgot to mention there's 1600 in dead money and it's only 4100 to call, its not really a clear fold with roughly 45% equity

Risky in the sense of losing a good deal of your nice chip stack. I'm a bit confused, I thought you were asking us for opinions on what to do here, we gave our input and now you are arguing with us. What do you want?

lively discussion, different perspectives, to play devil's advocate, etc..

i lead my OP in a direction and wanted to see if the majority of ppl would agree/disagree

  11. its close, i prob call most of the time but fold might be correct vs alot of villians

  12. after reading a couple of these post it seems like folding is the right play
unless you got a read on villain i personally dont mind calling here,
the upside to this is that if you win you will had a deep stack and potentially make
a deep run and have a shot at the tourney
downside your avg stack and you gotta pick your spots and cant be as
flexible as you could be with a big stack
  13. Its all how much you're willing to gamble. I think he 4bets with kk or aa, doesnt ship. You can probably drop those 2 hands. So you're looking at a coin flip or better. Yea its for 60 bbs early on, but you still have 45 bbs left if you lose the hand. I say gamble
