  1. As most of you may know from previous posts, I have spent the last 3 years jumping from coast to coast with my telecom consulting business. For the first year or so, I had the advantage of being on the west coast allowing me to enter most 9pm EDT tournaments at 6pm so rarely did my work get in my way of playing multi table poker.
The last year or so has been much tougher because I have been on the east coast and tournaments ran too late for me to play. Of course, most weekends remained tough because of family commitments.
Enough is enough. When March 1 arrives, I will be retiring from business and returning to multi table online play. At age 62, I have decided that, after family commitments which have always come first, I want to do nothing more for the rest of my life than to enjoy it playing golf and poker. No more hit and run sit and go turbos, I mean real, big field big cash tourneys.
Since paradise poker has decided to shun American money, I am seeking advice from those who know me and know my game as to the best sites and the best tournaments to regulary play. Note, when time has permitted me to play multi table, I rarely ventured outside of the pokerstars biggies. What other sites and what tourneys offer the best EV now, as opposed to 2 years ago?
(I know this post means nothing to most pocket 5ers so I apologize for taking up valued space. Hopefully though, I'll hear from some of my old buddies here.)
  2. Welcome back!!

  3. old people are cool.
  4. Can't say I remember you (I regged a year or so after you, not sure if you were gone by then or not).

Anyway, welcome back to the grind.

The big sites for tournaments these days seem to still be stars and FTP.

  7. Regrdless of your level of skill or type of game, pokerstars and Full Tilt are by far the best. If you haven't signed up for an account at Full Tilt yet, then for your sake please get set-up with rake back, I didn't know about rake back when I signed up and there is no way for me to get it now.

  8. Good info Cal but unfortunately I signed up at FT when it first opened so I guess rakeback is not an option now. Does the fact I haven't played there in 2 years maybe qualify me?
