A little info before the hand: I had been really, really active, my table image was really loose. This was the finaltable bubble in a pokerstars 180 sng @ the 10+1 stakes. Villain had been playing really tight, and had previously just called one of my raises with QQ. He had also shown himself to play really weak on a couple of flops earlier (betting, and folding to minraises a couple of times.) My thoughts before calling his reraise preflop: im getting over 2:1 on my money, i wanna show the table that whenever I raise I'm going to defend my chippies, and I'm thinking that if he misses the flop it will be easy to take the pot from him (seeing as he don't wanna bubble out of the final table).

Post-flop thinking: The pot is laying me a little less than 2:1, and I have just flopped a monster, and I think I'm ahead, although it could be close to a coinflip.
Should I call his reraise preflop? Should I call on flop? Hypothetically speaking, if I'm playing to win and he shows me his KK after he had pushed, should I then call on flop? Should I have played the hand differently on any stage?
I really would appreciate some advice/opinions on this hand, especially cuz my buddy whom I would split the prize with almost killed me after the hand.
Thanks in advance, Anders Weydahl. -
The call is questionable only because of the stack sizes. Its so doubtful that hes going to be bluffing you when he has a very nice stack, and you are the only one he can get busted by. But then again I agree that since you have postition, and if he does miss and AK type of hand, you have a decent chance of taking the pot away from him. On the flop, I beat him into the pot 100% of the time. I believe your getting 2: 1 when your at a coinflip vs an overpair, a favorite over any other flush draw, and a very big favorite vs missed high cards.

People dont lay down pairs and flush draws. That is a insta-call with how people play. g00t hand = bad luck

agriiiid with decatur completely, these play just like the 4s

My honest opinion is you played this like total crap. You picked the only dude at the table who can do any damage to your chip stack. Your playing a crap hand out of posistion. And why are you calling off 30K after the flop? SO easy to lay that hand down in that spot.. He repopped you pre-flop. I would pretty much play KK the exact same way he did. There is a difference between being aggressive on the bubble and being wreckless. Trust me I play lots of 180's You want to make Final Tables.. Even if you have to limp in to them. You had 60K. I dont think Ive ever had that many chips in all the FT's Ive made in these. Maybe I have no clue what IM talking about. But

I agree with what you say. I made it to the FT with about 15K in chips, ended up 2nd. I see no reason in fooling around with T8 in the first place, but not a big deal that you raised it which is better than limping with it. But after the reraise, you have to fold it. You tried to steal the blinds, it failed, so you have to give up.

with a big stack near the bubble i like to open a lot of pots with a wide range of hands...like 9c10c...but u gotta be able to fold to reraises..especially vs another big stack...100% terrible call of his reraise preflop...but if ur gonna call that reraise preflop u cant fold when u hit the flop hard like that..so there was nothin wrong with that call

Reread this "Villain had been playing tight, and had previously just called one of my raises with QQ. He had also shown himself to play really weak on a couple of flops earlier (betting, and folding to minraises a couple of times.) "
Is a reraise preflop tight< NO Did he just call your raise< NO Did he play weak on the flop< NO
Is he out of character the whole way....YES.... Does his story add up YES.... can you afford to fold the best hand here YES.
You were tugging on superman's cape without kryptonite( well top pair is close, but not there yet.. Pick on the punks til you get to FT
