Am i playing AA wrong?
See my examples from two different tourneys (ie last 2 times i got AA in last 4 hrs)
eg 1.
Villlian would limp on a regular basis. Did i try for too much value given the texture of the flop?

On the first hand I am not sure what that guy was thinking. I would either lead out on the flop with what he might think as just a c-bet.....without knowing how loose he will call a pre flop raise I would also check raise that flop just to protect against any strange draws especially at the $2 level.
The second hand though....I would have to play that flop a bit different. The check is fine, but I wouldn't just call that bet....have to shove in that spot....a call just looks funny with your stack....from his point of view what hand can you have to raise pre-flop and check call on the flop while putting about half your stack in the middle....now you check the turn when the Q hits and still call the bet.....If you know you are going to call and you aren't sure of his hand shove first and put him to a decision..... -
I agree with aces. you have to protect the value of your hand in the lower buy-ins. youll see all kinds of strange draws when they see pretty colors on the board.
I also agree with the second hand. When he bets out, tell him you have something and protect from the draw. Its better to take down the smaller pot then then lose the bigger pot on him hitting the draw and shove him in making him have to really think about it. I used to be timid with my rockets because they were so valuable I didnt wanna scare away action, but typically now ive learned play them for their value and it will usually work out in your favor...of course not always... -
First hand:
Raise more PF.
Bet out on the flop around the size of the pot.
Get it all-in on turn.
You have a big hand, play it big. Get the money in there.
Second hand.
Raise more PF.
Quit checking AA on the flop. Get money in there. Bet out the size of the pot and have TP pay you off. If you're going to check, then you should check-raise. I'm not sure what the call is doing for you here.
The way the hand was played, you're left in a bad spot on the turn where you know you're behind but you pretty much are stuck in the hand because you've put too much money in.
