trying to figure out if a fold is ever justifiable here with my stack on the bubble

Thanks Lobsta, i had the wrong payout structure.
  3. I think Id call but Thats becase Im terrible. After making the raise pre and folding you still got a stack here. I don't know that seems very spewy... Shit dumb spot I guess Your not going to open fold AK here but Raise folding seems gross. I just dont like that its the only guy that can bust that wants to play a big pot. I just am not sure it is possibly correct to go with it with the only guy that can bust you.
  4. Open shove and blame him for calling with jacks...problem solved

Raise/fold is spewy and folding this UTG is not an option...whoever nashed that is right and you need to be shipping this pre...he can call TT+ and nash says AKs, although I think calling with AKs here is really borderline
  5. Shove shove shove shove shove
  6. i fold personally. Skurvyknave is going to be in the small blind next hand with just 3 bb's. he has to push soon, leaving you with an ok stack.
  7. I would have played it the same way... Yes you are losing out of 4th place money but if you win the hand you have a 2 to 1 chiplead on 2nd place... You already have a 1/4 of your chips in play and I would have played the same way as you.. I'm sure the math will show that you should have folded to get that 4th place money but as a human being the reward outweighs the risk
  8. the only reason not to open shove pre is to raise/call and invite worse hands to reship.. which i dont absolutely hate that concept but wat sucks is getting flatted here. Also w/ ur stack its just a shove no argument ul
     1
  9. shove pre or fold pre...

with this not being a DoN i would shove... if you get called by JJ and lose a flip then better luck next time

don't be results oriented... if AK had won this hand would you even be asking yourself it was the right play?
  10. shove pre

  11. What? FUCK YES you look at spots like this that you aren't sure about WHEN YOU WIN the hand! If you don't take hands from every session you play and run them or ask someone about them then you aren't learning/growing/getting better. Take your own advice by not being results oriented and check hands that you win...otherwise you're not maximizing your potential.
  12. This is a really easy shove pre

  13. i analyze hands i win and lose..

im seeing that i should be shoving pre here then...ty for the advice..its not whether i won or not, its playing the optimal way in each situation im trying to figure out
