  1. I basically want to analyze my own play in MTT's so that I can game select better. I want and get a breakdown of things such as;

1)ROI for different buy in levels
    2) ROI for different days of the week
    3) ROI for tournaments starting at different times
    4) ROI for rebuys vs. freezeouts/ deepstacks vs. turbos

Are there any sites that really get into the nitty gritty and break all of this down? Are they free, or do I have to pay for them?

  2. Officialpokerrankings.com = free , but only tracks stars, Tilt, Ongame and party

Sharkscope.com = u have to pay , tracks everything even small europoker rooms

  3. Does official poker rankings.com break things down into buy ins levels ect? I saw a screen shot of some pretty nice break downs of a players stats from the poker db but I am pretty sure that you have to pay a membership fee to get that kind of access.

Basically I want to know what my ROI's are for different stakes so I can game select better.

    thoughts??

  4. Use sharkscope its $10 for 200 searches or 5 free a day well worth it imo. You can use it to filter your results by game type or anything else you ever would like to do. I use it extensively when researching ppls results before i stake them

  5. OP-

If you have PT3 you can do this there easily already. I don't use HEM, but it probably does also. I somehow doubt you are playing that much without either one so it'd be silly to go to a website to do it when you already have that on your desk

I actually don't use PT3, HEM or a hud. I had them for a while but I felt it actually made me lazy and decreased my observational skills. I only 5 table so I can see how these tools would be beneficial for mass tabling, but for a hand full of tables playing MTT's I am not sure they actually help.

Maybe I should get one up and running again just for self evaluation purposes. Also if I did get PT3 or HEM would it only work for tournaments going forward or could I import all of my hh and tournament stats into it from the past???

I just tried to do an advanced search on sharkscope for one of my searches and it said I had to be a subscriber. What are the rates to become a subscriber? If I pay $10 do I get 200 "advanced" searches or just 200 standard ones?

If you have the HH you should be able to import the old ones too. If you have an old license for them no reason it's not still good AFAIK. If you do have them you don't have to run the hud you know...

I might be slightly biased here but if the information isn't worth $12 (one month's access) to you then it prob isn't even worth your time to analyze it.

  9. hes not talking about hh's, hes talkin about sharkscope, so spend the 10 bucks and u got all ur answers....

I don't recall ever stating that this information is not worth $12 to me. I just want to know what my best options are. Is this $12 you are referring to for sharkscope or the pokerdb? Which one is better?

  11. $12 is for thepokerdb, sharkscope is more SNG based but they have been covering more MTTs as the years have gone on. I'm not sure what they're doing specifically right now. thepokerdb is a good way to analyze MTT results though.

If the poker db is the best tool to self analyze my MTT game I will gladly pay the $12 for the month for this access. If anyone has any better ideas please let me know and if not I will sign up for the pokerdb.

Side note; Does anyone subscribe to the pokerdb continuously? If so what kind of advantages would you say it gives you over the free version of official poker rankings?

  13. I subscribed to sharkscope for a month to have access to my mtt history. Was happy with the spreadsheet and please with all the other information/stats that they provided. Definetly worth trying it for a month, as it did alter my game selection. I think it should work for what your looking for.

I'm surprised I don't see this sight mentioned more. Nice bar graphs and some good filter options to view yourt MTT results from many angles.

    You can filter by:
-Game Type (NLHE, FLHE, PLO, PLO8, Mix, etc)
    -Speed (turbo, etc)
    -Buy-In
    -Structure (rebuys, etc)
    -# of entrants.

Don't know about days of the week. Also, they seem to have a decent software offering. All I ever read about is Poker Tracker or Hold Em Manager, but their software, Tournament Shark seems interesting. Can anybody compare it to HE Mgr or P-Tracker?

Bodog and UB data on pokerdb, but not OPR.

Also, pokerdb lets you paste in a HH and then returns a snaphsot of stats for everyone at the table... great in game feature for MTT

pokerdb also lets you filter out MTT from sng's which is not easy or as easy on OPR.

OP- if you are going to pay 12 a month for DB access to parse your own stats... just get PT/HEM and you'll save money in the long run. pokercb is good for analyzing opponents during games though just for the HH pasting function alone.
