Found a perfect article that explains perfectly what I feel about this issue.

Negreanu is a grown man, even though his hyperactive, elfish demeanor may tell a different tale. He is responsible for his own actions and words. The mere fact Duke is looking for some sort of redeemable statement from his sponsors and is more offended they aren’t distancing themselves from him instead of looking to Negreanu for an apology is laughable at best.
For starters, Negreanu’s relationship is kismet: his sponsors need him, he needs his sponsors. Realistically, nobody is going anywhere in that relationship.
Secondly, the fact that Annie Duke is upset by how another site has handled itself is like John Wayne Gacy angrily calling somebody else a murderer or Cruella de Vil throwing paint on somebody else’s fur coat. If you want to comment on integrity, how about you start with writing an open letter to the loyal users of your site that got screwed by superusers.
Lastly, in that open letter, explain about how integrity is directly correlated to riding out a site sponsorship through public scandal and defined as resting easy at night with your endless, effortless Fortune as multiple users who have lost a combined $1.5 million that they painstakingly grinded out now have absolutely nothing.
Albeit a poor choice of words,
I think Negreanu was on to something.
To Annie's credit there are several posts in response to her blog that are not in favour of her position or actions and she has so far left them up.

I particularly liked the one that read:
We were all hoping your blog entry read:
“I would like to thank Ultimate Bet for coming out publicly saying they don’t support cheating and deception. That is really all I wanted in the first place.” -
I dislike both of them. Seems silly tho.
-
annie duke is garbage and her brother is a fat vegetarian, never seen one of those until him.
-
You don't honestly believe this do you? I mean maybe your frame of reference allows you to not become upset over words but plenty of people from many different backgrounds do take offence to certain things and rightfully so. I really don't need to go down the list either its pretty common sense.
-
I do. Americans get easily offended by words. Honestly, its a whole different culture in Norway. And esp in my part of Norway. I honestly can't believe that words like fuck get censored in lots of your television shows. Thank god for HBO, right?

Hmm. Apparently if you follow Annie Duke on Twitter and are a Glen Beck fan or FOX follower, she will dump you from following her. She had made a posting earlier how she wanted to "thank" Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin for representing the 'white man' in Washington.

Apparently 30 of my followers are big Glenn beck fans as they are now former followers :-)
It seems she had a few people complain or argue that they supported the cause and were subsequently removed/blocked from ever following her again. Wow, nice to see that she supports intolerance and hypocritical behaviour.
So basically if you don't agree with her opinions or political views... instead of discussing them as a mature adult or listening to opposing or different views, she simply will block and ignore you. Stalin did something like this once, but only more extreme. -
Dude, wow.

Not an Annie Duke fan at all, but people like you with mob mentality almost make her look OK by comparison.
Jump to conclusions much? Her tweet definitely couldn't have meant that she had 30 people unfollow her after saying that stuff about Beck, right? Right ... -
Nope.. One of my friends was removed from following her after he spoke how he liked Beck. He didn't unfollow her but she dropped them. I can't speak for the other 29 tho.

Saw this as well. She obviously had them removed from her followers. Least we not for Mz Duke attended Columbia and Penn. Nothing like another elitist liberal snob that knows better than everyone else, and so open minded of her pretend free thinking self. I don't agree with Daniel's politics either, but I do appreciate his poker and what he does for the game, and consider myself a fan. As far as Duke, never was a fan, never will be. And Kathy Liebert should bitch slap her for claiming the female title.

get man loved in the face u ugly fkin cnt........ dan is good for the game and u never will be
and lol at best female player... annette15 owns -
You have to separate tournament players from real poker players when you're talking about these 'best' player listings imo. That is not to say that Annie Duke is the best female cash player.

Yanks and their mock outrage is pretty tragic. I think its why most folk say Americans have no sense of humour, everything is too serious. -
The problem when you say this, is up until recently Daniel Negreanu was top casher in WPT tournies, but would you ever hear him say he was the best? Nope. He gave that honor to Phil Ivey saying that as an overall poker player, he was the best in the world at this time.
Concerning Annie, there was a time that Annette Oberstad took over top female money maker when she took first in the WSOP-E and then second in the spanish tournament. She was at that point the female who had made the most money in tournaments, yet, Annie still had it on her site that she was the best in the world. Since that time Annie has taken back the money title but I think it is pretty hypocritical to name yourself the best female poker player while trying to abolish the women's tourney in the WSoP because it lacks sexual equality. -
Edited By: revolvingiris Aug 30th, 2010 at 02:00 AMYour comment was "how come people" stating that this applies to everyone in the world. Which as an example, I think a lot of people would get pissed to see any caucasian from any background drop the "N" word in Africa.Originally Posted by ApesAreFun

As far as censorship in America, yeah, I agree with you on that. However, even though women are technically equal here in the USA doesn't mean they are treated so. I have never been to Norway but from my experiences in life any culture from any region in the world acts like Men > Women.
And no, fuck HBO and any other television network. I avoid the tube like a plague! -
I think the problem isn't that Americans have a particular aversion to that particular word as it is a culture thing. It is something that simply isn't acceptable in normal conversation or to be used to describe someone in an interview. Daniel should know this.
Once again tho it is about her reaction running to pokerstars instead of dealing with DN on a personal level. -
I believe i have played my last tournament there myself. I'm tired of it now. Just the endless same ol same ol with many promises and no changes.
Tired of the Rah rah from the pros, but you know they are only doing it cause it is in their contract and they don't really believe in what they spout. All the pros who used to post on here, Krazy Kanuck, Debo, P0ker H0, Duke and others have all stop posting updates and rah rah letters because they can't even stomach what is going on there now. Hypocrites one and all.
I remember a time that people when people wouldn't take a sponsorship for a product or a place in which they didn't believe in and yet how many pros are now just riding low, making their minimum amount of appearances and "working to rule" to satisfy their contracts while remaining silent amidst controversy. Sad state of affairs and shows you their true colours.
