Pretty much agree with CP. As shady is bunk sounds its probably better you cut ties backing him when you did b/c he was obv never gonna pay MU. Sucks to lose $ on this situation but you`re probably money ahead having nothing to do with him again and he is obv losing out in more ways than one. Pretty hard to squeeze water from a stone. If the guy was to the point where he was freerolling trades with Matt's money, dumping smallish amounts off in cash games to friends (I assume he had enough in accts that he thought Matt wouldn't notice small discrepancies) and needing advances to "feed his family" then I highly doubt he has anything with which to pay Matt. I own a few rental props and had a guy completely burn me for ~3 months of rent. Bad checks, sob stories, it will be there this day, etc. until he finally was removed by the cops (long process). I had a meeting with one of the biggest name lawyers in town. He point blank told me I have no recourse against the guy because he has nothing of value. Sucks but that's the way it is. Not to mention that getting the law involved is probably not even an option for Matt. I guess you could call him and tell him how serious you are though then mail a photo to his house of you with an incredibly serious expression just so he's aware of your seriousness. -

i have always played on my own money and hope to continue to do so my entire career...i personally have nothing at all against backing as almost all of my frienda are backed...but i will also say if seen friendships broken and shady stuff go on constantly because of it and i just rather not be a part of it if not necessary...

this is pretty sad. i used to talk with him bout hands and things about a year or so ago. he seemed really nice and willing to teach me what he could. kind of a shame that he turned out to be a douchebag tho.
lost all respect for him, the least he could do is come on here and defend himself in some way. his silence makes him look far worse. -
