IN PDX, NEXT WEEK. APPRECIATE YOUR HELP.

drive up to La Center, WA...about 15 miles north of Ptown. A lot of casinos to play at with quite a few games. Just get on I-5 north and you will run into it (i think its exit 13 in WA). Hope this helps

Portland Rounders have tournaments every night, they start between 5PM-7PM and usually have about 20 people playing.
-
la center only has fixed limit and spread limit along with small tourneys. Spirit mountain is the ish just past salem.

spirit mountain a 35 minute drive from portland and easily the best place in oregon to play

La Centre isn't bad...the 10-20 game is loaded with fish...LOADED!!! They also have a 2-4 and a 4-8 (at the Last Front). They have pretty good cash give aways every day. I think they do like $300-$400 for high hand like every 3-4 hours. They have no limit tournies on the weekend too, first is about 4-5k I think...GL

You have a few good choices.
La Center is 16 miles north of Portland. Its my home casino area. They have 3-6 to 15-30 limit at the Last Frontier. The above poster is correct---there are tons of fish in the 10-20 and 15-30 games. On Tuesdays, they spread a 20-40 game which is very good although watch out for a few sharks who are loaded with cash. Unfortunately, they no longer have the 50 plus rebuys and add on tourney on Saturdays (which JasonGray and his bro used to win alot). The New Phoenix has 4-40 spread which is good but if you like alot of action, hit the 10-20 or 15-30 games. They also have a 50$ 10-person SNG on Mondays, and a 100% SNG 10-person SNG on Wendesdays. Dont waste your time at Chips for cash games, although they do have a 4 table $100+0 tourney at Noon on Saturdays.
Sprirt Mountain is about 40 miles west of Portland but it takes about an hour to get their because Hwy 26 is a suckie, busy, two lane highway. They usually spread 4-8 and 10-20 limit and 1-2 NL. Depending on the time of day, you might get lucky to get in a 2-5 or a 5-10 NL but that is rare. -
I went to La Center this summer (student in Eugene) and i put myself on the waitlist and watched and the play was absolutely horrible. Unfortunately I decided to take myself off the list because I didnt bring enough money to deal with the variances that would be evident at that the table. Sooner or later I'll go back and be ready to take the whole table down :)
